I‘d rather have the missing page. A lot of grammar mistakes is annoying, but my mind automatically corrects them while I‘m reading.

SconsinBookyBadger Misspelled words. That‘s a no for me with missing pages. 🙅🏻‍♀️ 1y
BiblioLitten Missing page any day. 1y
WJCintron I would choose the miss spellings cause I would die trying to figure out what did I missed if a page is missing. It would drive me crazy!! 1y

Neither. 😂
I‘ve had to deal with both of these. I actually stopped lending books out for these reasons. I‘ve had people borrow books and just keep them, or they borrowed books in immaculate condition and returned them looking extremely used.
I guess I‘d rather get a book back dog eared than not get it back at all.

Wow! It depends on the page. Unfortunately, so many authors have several pages in books that can be skipped with no impact. So as long as it‘s one of those, I choose missing a page.
I can‘t stand those grammar errors. A book full of them would be a nightmare. Thankfully, most of my reading is audiobooks so mix them up all you want 😂

Thanks for the tag @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

TheBookHippie I bought a book that was upside down from cover 😅🤣😵‍💫 I agree… just drop an insignificant page. 1y
SilversReviews Depends on what page is missing. 😊 Those who don‘t know the difference between their, there, and they‘re do drive me crazy, though. 😊 1y

If I loan any book out, its one I don't care about losing. I learned a long time ago that people keep everything. So they wont have a chance to dog-ear any of my favorite books lol.

I figure if you are a lender of anything, you have to be prepared to never see it again. So unless it‘s a rare or irreplaceable book, I‘m okay with lending and not getting it back. But if you return a dog-eared book to me, I‘ll have to kill you. JK! I would be embarrassed to return a book I had damaged in any way-so I would buy a new one for the lender.

MoonWitch94 I absolutely agree with you! 1y

I think page missing would be worse😳 bc FOMO

But yes I am the spelling/grammar police, but it‘s everywhere now, so I overlook it
#WYR @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Andrew65 It very much depends what page too. 1y
TheSpineView Thanks for the tag!❤️🏷 1y
MoonWitch94 Ughhhhhh I really cannot stand that. But I also agree with @Andrew65 it very much depends on the page. For instance, there is quite a big difference between the title or dedication page, and the last page. 1y

I feel like when I lend a book out I‘ve accepted anything could happen. A lost book seems sad though. My favorite find when a friend returned my book was a Cheeto fingerprint, it became a fun inside joke. I think I prefer my books to be loved. That said, I try to avoid a dog ear but it has happened in desperate moments. 🐶

I can live with dog eared pages, though the next time they borrow from me I would include a bookmark.

TalesandTexts Easy - dog ears. One of my friends misplaced a book I had lent him and later revealed that his brother tore up the book having a fight with him. Now he is my ex-friend. 1y
ShananigansReads That person is not a friend. Do not lend them books! 1y
TheSpineView @TalesandTexts Just goes to show, don't mess with a reader's books! 😡 1y

This is like choosing between two evils! I think I could live with the grammar errors. A missing page is the worst sin.

TalesandTexts Missing page. I will let my awesome imagination fill in the gaps 😂😂 1y

I would definitely choose the former!!! Not using their, there, and they‘re correctly drives me crazy!! I most likely wouldn‘t finish the book!

What about you? ❓❓
