Got to finish Rebecca Solnit's book "A field guide to getting lost" during a walk into the forest, and it made it soo much better. Solnit gives you new ways to look at your surroundings, with history and facts, and stories I've never heard about the colour blue and all of its meanings. It wasnt at all what I was expecting it to be, but I learnt new things and now my morning walks are richer than ever. 4.5 stars.

Only 40 pages into my first Rebecca Solnit book and I can already relate with her in so many levels about my morning walks in the park and hiking in the forest... Her work reminds me of Mary Oliver's Upstream, one of my favourites last year. Looking forward to continue reading this. #Recommend

My first LGBT read. A mixture of love, the civil rights movement of the 60s and gay injustices and culture. I really like this graphic novel in the way that we can get to see a obscure moment on the life of Toland Polk, where trying to find himself is a diffuclt path to follow, full of treason, happiness, new friends and disaster. I really recommend it if you are looking for a political-inspired graphic novel. #Recommendsday

At the beginning of the month I finished the classic of James Baldwin The Fire Next Time and it was all I was waiting for and more! The essay to his niece was the most heartbreaking and yet realistic image we would have of the black civil rights movement of the 60s. The second part, another essay about what Islam means to the Community and Baldwin's approach of black suffering was such a new thing to me I loved it! #recommendsday #JamesBaldwin

First 5-star book of 2017 and what a start! Love triangle and adventurous slavery times. OMG, I'm so in love with this book! It just reminded me of the Invention of Wings bys Sue Monk Kidd, another 5-star and on the same storyline

Shoutout to Mr. Bennet for waking me up in this story and be so relatable to myself, yaaass!!

Inner feelings description pretty accurate and really touched me. I will be reading this for sure again in the future because it needs of more analysis because of the difficult language it has.

Conrad's description on the darkness of humanity in the colonial era is memorable..

The whole year I've been postponing this read but I'm now making it my priority before the year finishes and I'm really excited to finally get to this classic! Coffee, candles and Heart of Darkness, what a wonderful evening.

One of my absolute favourites of this year! Really captivating deep feelings and so memorable, perfect! I can't even recommend it enough!

Really interesting book, but the middle part was kind of boring. Still, really recommend it as an introduction to Thoreau's writing, and to such a classic.
