When Tayang Khan, the Naiman ruler, entered and saw the severed head, he panicked and shouted in horrified anger that the head smiled at him. Whereupon, he kicked the head off the sacred felt cloth and then trampled it to pieces. #wtf #genghiskhan #snowday

Not as good as the first but I still enjoyed the stories. Thrawn is probably one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Also I dig this Cumberbatch/Thrawn I found online. #starwars #scifi

I enjoyed this screen play. It was very easy to read and the story was thought out and stayed true to the other books. I do think more could have been done with it but I also realize it wasn't meant to be a book as the others were. Like some I am disappointed to know that Scorpious & Albus probably won't wind up together but I'll still marvel at people's Scorbus art anyways. #HarryPotter #fantasy

I feel like a lot of this book was common sense. Most people will probably find their values as they grow but there were some helpful sections that I really liked. It was good to hear someone say that it is OK to have negative experiences and that everything doesn't have to be perfect all the time. I also felt like Mark's ideals on how a healthy relationship should be were spot on and have been very helpful to me and my relationship journey.

It finally happened. A book made me cry, twice. I teared up once somewhere in the middle but when John was telling Jane about his wife's death I had some rollers. I just thought it was sad/and adorable that he was telling her over and over again that he loved her so that it would be the last thing she heard 😢😭 I can't wait to read the next one. #scifi #recommend

I think the book does a really amazing job at describing what it might be like to have your consciousness transferred into another body. I do find it odd that once transferred John refers to his old body as it and not me. I think it would take the brain some time to emotionally process that kind of switch but I'll overlook it. #scifi

Did not see the twist coming at the end of this book. I really enjoyed this story and how it digs into the underbelly of society. I'd be interested to see what Kasim was thinking through all this and if he has the same style of thinking while he's Icy Blue. #fantasy

Audio Review: Early on in the book I found Ramit extremely annoying and a lot of his jokes are terrible. It is good information though and it's worth ignoring his hot blonde twins comparisons to get the information. #goodadvice #financial

I highly recommend this book. The way Dave Eggers tells Valentino's story by jumping between America and Africa is well done. The book was easy to read and I learned a lot about Sudan and the Lost Boys. After checking out Valentino's website I looked up a satalite picture of Marial Bai to see the buildings he was able to build and its a heart warming site. #educational #goodread

I'm furious at Valentino for giving up on Maria so quickly. She's clearly in a terrible situation and has been torn down by her awful adopted family. The irony of him leaving Maria in the dust after she picked him up years before is extremely depressing and infuriating. #rant

This book was so good, I had a hell of a time putting it down. I loved the way Weir did his research for this book and got the science right. It was also amazing how he was able to explain so it was understandable. Watney is a fantastic character and the book flowed extremely well. I wasn't a fan of the 3rd party story telling sometimes but I think that is mostly because Watney's logs were so entertaining. Highly recommend! #lovedit

Withdrawals have subsided since I've been able to read and I got myself a reading buddy.

I'm at the part of the book where Weir starts writing about Watney from an outside perspective (when he rolls the rover). I think that shift in writing was super abrupt and noticeable. I wonder why he did that instead of having Watney journal about the roll like he's been doing?

There were times when the story didn't really hold my attention. The Goldstein book reading was a little boring and parts of it were unbelievable. Many aspects of this book simply wouldn't work in today's world which makes it less scary than it used to be. The character descriptions were very good though. When the author describes skeleton Winston I had a very good picture of just how drastically the ministry of love had changed him. Worth a read.

I loved this book. It's a great read for anyone who really wants to understand Mexican immigration and all the gray bits that go along with it. Clearly, it was difficult for Urrea to write this book but he did an absolutely amazing job and still continues to educate people about immigration, the BP, and the Devil's Highway to this day.

Loved the book so much. It was very entertaining from start to finish and Andy does a great job describing how a colony on the moon would operate. There were some things about Jazz's personality that seemed forced but overall I thought she was pretty solid. She kinda reminded me of one of my friends.

I really enjoyed the concept of plants on this new world being sentient and co-existing with humans as a way surviving and thriving. I'm disappointed in the way the story ended. I feel like the author has left many questions unanswered and will hopefully be writing another book to follow. If this is a stand alone book I'd say it's lacking closure.
