One of my favorite fantasy book series
Hardy does well at conveying chemistry between Kissie and Trig. Their moments together were electric and when Hardy finally got to the smutty goodness it was HOT! There are a couple of things I have a gripe about, one of them being that we didn't get to see Trig and Kissie meet, I know it probably doesn't matter, but since we didn't get that first electric moment between them that sparked their attraction to each other, it felt like instalove.
A decided to make the sourdough from Joshua Weissman's cookbook. It's one of my bookish resolutions to make more recipes from books!
The Hubby keeps telling me to read Dune... but I just haven't 😬 I think it may be my forever TBR
I got to say that Anora was very realistic, here is a girl who just wants to live a quiet normal life, but is suddenly has powers that forces her to change her life's direction. I did sometimes get frustrated with Anora with some of the things she did and choices she made but I had to keep reminding myself that she is just a teenager thrust into something that is very unpleasant. Overall, a YA fantasy book whose world has a lot of potential.
Happy New Year!!! Do you have any #bookish #resolutions
I have a couple (besides read more)
1) Do more bookish cooking recipes
2) Read only the books I am interested in. Don‘t waste my time reading a book I don‘t like DNFing a book isn‘t the end of the world
3) Be more active in the bookish community and make friends
3) visit more bookstores
4) Shopping small business for books and #bookish merch
Someone got this book for The Gremlin Little J (My son) and I am so excited to read it to him. I grew up in this area that takes place in the book and used to chase down the paletero man during the summer.
*A Thank you to edelweiss + for allowing me to read this. This is my fair and honest review*
Due to the synopsis I had pretty high expectations for this book unfortunately it did not deliver. For me, the book just took way too long to start. I was about 33% in before anything remotely interesting happened. It was because of this that when the book had it's interesting moments I was not as invested as I felt I should have been.
Just add reading and you will have what I plan on doing this weekend 😊👍

The main character needed a bigger back bone, the ending was rushed, and I was left with a lot of questions. The story is pretty unique, the thought of capturing ghosts with coffee and tea is intriguing.
Started rereading this for nostalgia... Read it over 16 years ago 😋. Do any of you reread books for nostalgia? I always like to compare what I thought of a book to what I think now, to see how my mind has changed.
My #currentlyreading for my book club. I don't read to many horror books so I think this year my goal is to read more horror. What about you all what are you going to read?

I didn't expect to like this book but I did! Jewell has a way of creating realistic characters and situations that can (heartbreakingly) happen irl. While I did guess the who of the mystery, I didn't guess the how which was surprising.

This is the fourth book in the Southern Ghost Hunter series and I love them all. Verity is so strong willed and the stories keep getting better. Such nice and quick reads, love to read them after a emotionally draining book.
Reading this for a book club. What are you reading?

The artwork was amazing, perfectly captured the emotions of each character and Hill's writing is great. Only reason why it doesn't get a 5 is because I was left with a lot of questions.
Blame it on Mistletoe - a widow discovers her son is missing, her husband's friend (who is in love with her) arrives to help find him. Sparks fly.
If Only in My Dreams- a Cafe Owner finds an injured Fox and her widow neighbor helps nurse the fox and her heart.
What Child is This- a women's daughter just wants her daddy for Christmas, when he shows up does the women reconcile or protect her daughter and her heart.
