I was so sad because my library didn‘t have these books at all, and I wasn‘t really up for buying them myself and then lo and behold Kindle Unlimited has the first 5 available! Not sure who needs to know this but I am currently very excited as we are finishing the show tonight!

Well, this news made my morning! After many years and a couple unpicked pilots, Locke & Key finally has a premiere date on Netflix. I loved this comic book series and I‘ve got my fingers crossed the adaptation is good! I‘ve got two months to do a reread 😄

Just requested a bunch of graphic novels from the library. (I only have 3 holds left on Hoopla and don‘t want to use them all on GNs)!

Any other Halloween themed Graphic Novels you can recommend? I‘m trying to fit the theme of monsters, ghosts and blood.

I read this series a few years back. I also got this complete full-cast recording from Audible. And I gotta say... I think I like the recording better 🤷🏻‍♀️. It has a score, a narrator, sound effects, and I said, a full cast. I thought it might be too confusing to work as an audiobook, but they really pull it off.
Give this a whirl if you‘re a fan ❤️

This has been on my shelf for a while and I needed something quick so I picked it up. Graphic Novels aren't my thing, but when it comes to Joe Hill....who can say no? Will be interesting to see where this series goes.

The artwork was amazing, perfectly captured the emotions of each character and Hill's writing is great. Only reason why it doesn't get a 5 is because I was left with a lot of questions.

I‘ve just discovered that the first four volumes are included in Kindle Unlimited. 😱 Now I need to adjust my #readathon stack for the weekend. It‘s going to be graphic heavy. 😆

Our awesome little indie comic store recently expanded, so we went to check it out today. They had all of the hardcover volumes of Locke & Key that I‘ve been wanting , so I picked up the first 2 (they‘re a little pricey!) & the first volume of Monstress!

Oh WOW! @LibrarianJen I CANNOT wait to read these! Everything you picked is PERFECT! I can't even get into how perfect, because I will run out of characters. I LOVE the Buffy figurine, the puzzle books, the chocolate, the kitty bookmark and the graphic novels! The art is gorgeous in these books. I am blown away! 🤗

This is horror at its best. It has the old, creepy house full of secrets & bad vibes, the parent who, for valid reasons, is absorbed in their own worries, a trio of kids getting into all sorts of mischief, & a really bad creature desperately hunting for the key that will unlock the door. Atmospheric, creepy, horrific, on occasion funny, & always entertaining but definitely not for the squeamish. Good story & great artwork. I‘ll be reading Vol. 2.

We get to roll the clocks back an hour tonight which means I have a little more reading time. So, I‘m finishing the night off with a little Locke & Key.

I need the next volume stat! This was creepy as hell and just so good!

Last of October‘s book club picks

Just starting my first #JoeHill GN today and I can't get of the reference to #thehauntingofhillhouse. The timing is funny since I just finished the novel earlier this month #ATB. #screamathon @4thhouseontheleft

Fantastic graphic novel and story by Joe Hill! I cannot wait to read more from this series!

This is officially my new favourite graphic novel. Quite violent, but really draws you into the story. I'm not really into violence for the sake of violence, but this GN is more than that.
Glad I've got volume 2 already so I can continue the story straight away.

Will I ever read something by #JoeHill that isn't amazing?? 😭👻
