This gorgeous lady will forever be one of my favourite authors. I don't think it's fair to other authors just how well *and* how much she writes. I've yet to read a book of hers I haven't REALLY enjoyed, and I've read a *lot* of her books. If you've never read a Richelle Mead book, ask me for suggestions! She writes young adult & adult books, mostly urban fantasy. ✌🏻📚

ALSO!!! 'The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue' by Mackenzi Lee is out today! I've heard *such* phenomenal things about this book.

Holy crap, I just met Greg Iles, and he's awesome! He has been my favourite "adult" fiction author since I was about 13, and I've never gotten a chance to see him speak until now (some 20 odd years later)! His books are what absolutely turned me into the insane bookworm I am today. Today I was able to have him sign my very first paperback of his, which also happens to be my all-time favourite book, Black Cross. It's old & tatty, but I ? it!

Haha. 😂 I just finished up 'More Happy Than Not' by Adam Silvera (SO GOOD!) & am now starting a YA dystopia that I won in a Goodreads Giveaway, 'Empyrean' by Alexander Ruiz. Excited to dig into this, as I loooooove me a good dystopia! 🤓

Has anyone read 'We Can Be Mended: A Divergent Series Epilogue' by Veronica Roth yet? I got mine in the post the other day; it was a bonus the publisher was giving away with pre-orders of VR's new book 'Carve The Mark' (which came out in Jan & that I really enjoyed also). I haven't read the epilogue yet... I feel as if it will be better appreciated if I leave it until a Divergent re-read due to my super-crappy memory. (Continued in comments...)

Today my Quarterly Co. #LYA03 subscription box got here, only for me to realize that I had already bought Jeff Giles' book, 'The Edge of Everything', when he was at Changing Hands for #YAllapalooza a couple weeks ago. Haha... oops! Luckily the annotations on the Quarterly Co. book are on sticky notes, so I'm just going to transfer them into my signed copy. 👍🏻

Besides being absolutely hilarious, Mr. Chuck Palahniuk has the nicest handwriting of any author I've ever seen/met, AND he's an incredible story-teller, to boot! What more could you want in a human being? 😆 I'm going to start 'Bait' here shortly, his latest book of short stories with illustrations to colour. Not that I'll be screwing up this perfect signed copy that I picked up from Changing Hands a few months back! 😜

There's so much sadness today that I'm going to celebrate two things I absolutely adore: books & mail. A few days ago I got the second Quarterly Co. YA box in the post, and I love it! This one's curated by S.J. Kincaid, author of 'The Diabolic'. I've wanted to read this book since I first read about it's (future) release, and the book contains her personal notes/annotations throughout the entire thing! (Photocopied handwritten notes on stickies!)

I randomly came across a YA book at the bookstore that has an intersex main character; how awesome is that?! What a time to be alive! 💜📚

Look how absolutely gorgeous this hardcover is by Lauren Oliver... 'Replica' is out today! I'm a total sucker for any type of creative book design, and this one is absolutely killer. The dust jacket is transparent (the butterfly is printed on the book underneath), and you flip the book over to read the second girl's story. So rad. 👌🏻📚

If you've seen this on the shelves, but haven't yet picked it up, DO IT. You will not regret it, I promise. I'm about half way through, and it's already one of my favourite books of 2016.

This evening I went and saw the always-hilarious Scott Westerfeld talk about his new book 'Swarm' (written with Margo Lanagan & Deborah Biancotti) at Changing Hands Tempe. This was my second time meeting him, and I was just as smitten with him this time as I was the first. Haha. I was finally able to get some additional books signed too, which was awesome. 📚

I was going to hold off on picking up 'The Fever Code' (the latest in 'The Maze Runner' series) for a little bit, but then I saw today that Changing Hands (Tempe) had these awesome swag packs with them. And then I get home to find, completely unexpectedly, that it's also signed by James Dashner! Super cool.
