Very insta-lovey but still a good book, I enjoyed reading it. The main character had a goofy personality which I love, and the premise of the book was pretty cool. I will say that nothing really stood out to me in this book. I'm having a bit of trouble writing anything about it because it just wasn't incredibly memorable to me. Even after saying that, I would still say it was worth the read, I got a few laughs out of it and it was a cute book.

I have tried this one twice and I‘m just done the start of the book focus way to much about this girls life when she‘s trying to find her brother in a blizzard. Slow and boring.

This book is enchanting so far! I love X! He is so brooding and sexy! Zoe is a really cool teenager who I totally would have been friends with in high school! Zoe‘s brother is so sweet and her mom is kick ass! Loving this! ♥️📚♥️📚♥️📚

This book is soooo good! Plus my hubby got me a mark-my-time bookmarks 🔖 It has a book light 💡 on it plus a timer ⏱ and countdown mode!

I just got this awesome birthday package in the mail from @That-Bookish-Hiker 💕 I love everything! A beautiful edition of Pride and Prejudice, a Rainbow Rowell book that looks adorable, and a signed copy of the tagged book! I also really love the Daenerys tote bag, and the Harry Potter book sleeve! Thank you again for everything!!! 💕💕💕

As far as insta-love stories go, this was a decent one. The settings were well-rendered, & the prose could be really nice at times. The pacing was a bit slow, but the plot interesting enough to keep me engaged. I liked the main characters well enough, but it was really the side characters that captured my attention — mainly adorable, big-hearted Jonah. I kinda wish this was actually about about the adventures of Jonah, Uhura & Spock, tbh. ★★★☆☆.

This isn't a new book. It's a cover change. I like this so much more than the original. The sequel is in this style as well. So much more interesting to me.

This was a ton of fun! The middle was a little rambly but it made up for it by using that time to give characters a lot of depth. The writing was cringey and juvenile at some parts and the insta love was real but that plot was amazing

This book kept my entertained though it does drag in the middle. It is obvious that most of the love went into the protagonist, X, and his world but I was totally OK with that, because X is one great character. I admit, the book cover got my attention with this one.

Got all three of these at a second hand sale a few months back, and they‘re patiently waiting for me to read them.

Side note: the little tea cup on the left is actually a candle!! Found that at a thrift store(with the saucer too)

Definitely an interesting book that kept engaged to the end. Wondering however if this is meant to be a series?

The Houston YA for Adults February book club pick.

This was a surprising read. I didn‘t realize it was going to be a fantasy or supernatural story but that was a pleasant surprise.

I loved the characters and the banter between X and the other characters in the Lowland were my favorite part. I can‘t wait to read the second book.

I am usually not a fan of supernatural or fantasy books...and admittedly I did not read a summary of this book before buying it. That being said, it was amazing and I would read it again!!

I finished this one not too long ago. I'm still thinking if I liked it or not. It was interesting. I kept reading till I finished but it didn't leave me with any lasting impressions.

UGH!! I couldn't get enough of this book until it was over and now i'm just sitting here like "what do i do now?"

i loved everything about this book from the writing to the plot to the characters to the originality of the whole book and then, of course, the WORLD. HOLY CRAP. I loved it loved it loved it. 5⭐️

I am not sure how I felt about this one. I did not feel driven to keep reading, every time I put it down I was not eager to pick it back up. But the characters were well written the the plot was ok? Overall just not inspiring I guess.

I liked Zoe's story. I liked X's story. I would have read two separate books about these characters, but I didn't believe them as a love story once their worlds collide. Some parts were predictable or forced. I appreciated the world building of the Lowlands and their hierarchy. Overall just ok for me.

Finally getting around to reading this. It's an interesting premise: a bounty hunter from the "Lowlands" (an underworld/hell kind of place) comes to Earth to retrieve an evil soul and gets mixed up in the lives of a family there.

This book is not getting a ton of Litsy love. I just read THE BEST ya book ever (The Sun is Also a Star) - maybe I should have read a few palate cleansers in between 😳

One of my favorite things about the YA Lit Box from Quarterly is that the featured book contains annotations from the author.

I don't think I've ever face palmed myself so many times in one book, until now. This book had such great potential , and was an original story line, but the love side of it made me cringe ! I wanted to slap both Zoe and X over the face so many times! There was not a lot of character depth , and they were both very naive which was annoying
