#GratefulReads: I‘m using two of my favorite playwrights for #favoriteauthor, #notsofavoriteauthor & #aplay prompts.
Oscar Wilde is one of my absolute faves. His wit is second to none, but he also has this dark side and genius when it comes to analyzing art. I could read him all day!
I love Shakespeare, but some of his work really hits home with me and some just glances off the mark — and I enjoy a variety of his work! Maybe I‘ll grow into it.
#GratefulReads Day 22 - #favoriteauthor
Like most of you, it seems, I have more than one favorite author. Beverly Cleary, Mo Willems, Sandra Boynton, and E. B. White are at the top for children's authors. For grown-ups, Marilynne Robinson, Shirley Jackson, and Otessa Moshfegh rarely disappoint.
I have four favorite authors, and there is a picture of each of them above my writing desk! (along with dragons of course! 😁🐉) They are: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Katherine Mansfield, Ernest Hemingway, and Virginia Woolf 💕
