As far as memoirs go....this is highly entertaining and a page turner. I loved going back and watching all he content she was refering to. At times I found myself questioning... victim or narcissist? Not sure what to believe. This women, her life and how our society destroyed her. An insightful look into the darkside of the music industry, fame, mental health our society and being a sweet women caught up in it. Will make a great book club read .

This book is such a entertaining read . It's, “ take me to the bathroom addictive“.

As a songwriter, I also enjoyed Kuang touched on themes of plagiarism. Isn't all art inspired by life? Where do we draw the lines between inspiration and plagiarism.

Juniper song. Epic villian- Just loved to hate her. Kuang, nailed the character of Juniper being a true narsasistic, white privileged , entitled fame monster . So much yes.

This is 100 percent a young adults books. That being said, the plot, mystery and strong female protagonist keeps you coming back to the book. I also really enjoyed learning about Ojibwe traditions, culture and community. 🖤

I really enjoyed this book. It was a dark coming of age story set in the summer of the 70's. Very much reminded me of once upon a time in Hollywood. Loved the writing style.

I don't know how I feel about this book. I enjoyed the feminist look into women's role in the 50' and 60's and seeing the relationship to current society. I loved Six - Thirty. I kept reading because of him. But I found connections to the other characters were difficult. But then, I wonder if this was an actual brilliant move of the author ... I thought the book was a bit long in the storytelling . I personally think it could of ended sooner .

It was a cute Christmas book - A Hallmark book. No real depth, just a typical Christmas romance with music.

I can't decide if I love this book or hate it. I also found this book to be is a highly narcissistic at times. I think it's a dangerous book for souls who maybe lost looking for answers. While following her "knowing" was her answer, alot of people's moral compasses are misdirected and their "knowing" is highly hurtful. Be your higher - self but also take accountability for your actions and choices. It was a book that made me think for sure.

If you are searching for meaning in this amazing universe, coping with grief or just wanting to open your heart, ears and eyes to the great unknown. This book is for you. It took me a very long time to finish this book as I wanted to really experience and practice the book on my own. So many beautiful messages came through as I explored this book. 11:11 . A reminder to see beyond ourselves and the physical.

It' was good at times like the setting are devilish characters. But the book was too long..... Like... Get to the point!! I think this book would of been so much better if it were shorter. It took me all summer to read because.... I didn't really care what happened... But I kinda wanted to know??

DrexEdit It takes me a long time to decide to DNF a book like that. I usually end up finishing them, like you did. 2y
dabbe I totally agree! I didn't like any of the characters either! I still had to read it, though, because it was fast-paced (plus, I kept hoping things would change). 1y

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Survival is insufficient". This book is literature. Really beautiful writing , Brilliant character development and connection that symbolize's the theme of human connection throughout the book. The imagery of the collapse of civilization in this book is so haunting . Hard to believe it was written in 2014. It is thought provoking , lyrical , a great place to the weaving of time lines and I couldn't put it down.

So this summer I read,."Lost Apothecary" which is basically the same book expect with plants instead of poisons. It's a fine book nothing is wrong with it. I have just read a book with basically the same plot and style of writing in August so I was just bored with reading this book. Far to similar. It's a shame .

"Life wasn‘t about avoiding suffering."

Paul Kalanithi, When Breath Becomes Air

This book is so very powerful raw and real. Having to watch my own father battle and lose his life to cancer, I have been searching for meaning in his quick and difficult battle with the terrible illness. This is a topic people struggle to share but it is the one thing we all will face, death. A very important book I felt honored to read. Thank-you .

Oh my God I died and went to AIAIA. Everything about this book ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Circe is one of the best female protagonist to come along in a good long while. I wanted to know every character , every story . I love this book MADLY . It gave the reader everything they wanted. I was invested every step of the way and a perfect ending to her jounery to self. Finally a writer who doesnt't insult the intelligence of the reader.

I'm so confused. What am I missing about the rave reviews on this book? I felt like I was reading the same chapter for the whole book. I didn't really care about the characters, just felt disconnected. Quick read though. The only reason I finished it was because it was a short, easy read. But nothing really to chew on or make me a better human in this book. Just your typical... easy reader thriller story... if you call it thrilling.

It was entertaining. Loved the concept and parts of the book I was cheering along. Nice to see women in this genre as the protagonist for once. However, I found it dragged a bit in parts. Great theme behind the book though. Great character names too 🤠. 🌟🌟🌟1/2
