Ok, I had a hard time getting into it, so I‘ll probably try to pick it up again in the future to see if it sticks better

I like books about teddy Roosevelt and I like books by David McCullough but for some reason I didn‘t get too invested in this one

My last day working here. Moving on to a new library. For the record, it‘s a lovely place to work. I‘m staying on as a member of the friends, so I‘m happy to be lurking in the shadows once I go

BethwithBooks Congrats on your next big thing!! 6y

Re-read. Held up nice. Liked the first part-the interviews the best, but the whole book is good stuff

Cute, quick. The war and nationalist essays are topical.

Smart book, but I couldn‘t get into it. Maybe I‘ll try something else. The author has a lot of books on modern day Christianity and one on penis size so...

Reread. Still good, quick and fun. If you are the author, and I don‘t think you are, please make another book in the American Gods/Anansi Boys storyline

Ended on a bit of a cliff hanger and the third book is somewhere in the to read pile. I like the characters and the storyline makes me nervous, in a good way.

BethwithBooks I was really disappointed in the 3rd book after loving the first 2 but other people love it. 6y
Miss_Shush I‘ve heard that from other people too. I‘m trying to keep an open mind! 6y

Ok. Didn‘t live up to the hype. Seemed a bit preachy. Wish I hadn‘t finished it: I‘m stuck at the airport with no books and I can‘t get my Nook to Connect

I really like Fuller‘s stuff, but this wasn‘t my favorite book by her. It was a bit disjointed. I still enjoyed it and might reread in a few years to see if i like it better

Good book. Learned a lot about their marriage and their inner workings. Mary Todd Lincoln was a hard woman to deal with, and I had no idea how much their marriage struggled in the White House

#reread. Holds up. The centennial of this terrible event is coming up. My mom got my copy signed a few years ago at a reading.

RadicalReader @Miss_Shush being a librarian do you get access to books earlier than when they appear on library shelves? 6y
Miss_Shush @RadicalReader yeah sometimes. My to read is super long right now so I‘m abstaining from checking out too many things 6y

Doing a lot of #rereading right now to my personal library as a way to weed. This started out slower than I remember but picked up and I ended up blowing through it.

I liked reading these so I‘ll play along:

1. I saw some friends last night for a bit and they‘re always good company

2. A younger sister

3. No, but I‘m lucky to have older people I am close to, including a friend who is 91!

4. No, but my mom is and I‘ve learned a lot from her exploration

5. EDT
