Listened to this one, and I loved the narrator. I‘d like to make this book required reading. Not an easy read at all, but well worth it.

I loved this one. Guessed the killer, not the finer plot points. Great murder mystery to read before summer ends!

I really wanted to like this one more. I really like Anna Faris, but this book is just so so for me. A good part of it is in the timing, I think, since she talks a lot about her marriage to Chris Pratt.

Overall, it‘s a pretty good guide. Nothing super new, but I liked her information on finding markets and the exercises in part one.

Loving this book! Tbh I bought it on accident when I was looking for The Magpies, but I couldn‘t turn it down. It‘s reading so much like a Christie mystery that I forget sometimes it‘s not!

I‘m liking this but it drives me crazy how often they ask you to look at the pdf that‘s supposed to go with it. I checked this out from the library and I can‘t find a way to get the pdf. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I liked this book more than I thought I would, even though I was expecting it to be overall more humorous. Definitely best for fans of the show.

I loved this book, and I‘m so glad I read it as an audiobook. I really like Gretchen Rubin, and while I didn‘t think that everything was applicable to me, I thought everything was interesting. I did find some good strategies that I want to try in forming new habits, like avoiding rewards and pairing one hawklets it with another. I can‘t wait to read The Four Tendencies!

I‘m glad to be done with this book. It was so disappointing because I thought Behind Closed Doors was pretty good, but the first half of this book was completely boring. I almost bailed, but the last quarter was a better, so I finished it. If the whole thing had read like the last part, it would have been a fantastic book.

I‘ve really been loving audiobooks lately. I started listening just a couple of months ago. I always thought they were cheating, but honestly I don‘t think I would be reading non fiction books if I weren‘t listening to them. Perfect for preschool pick ups and folding laundry! 😂 As I was finishing this one, I realized it also included a podcast, so that was a real bonus for me!

HKGirl Definitely not cheating! You might not be using your eyes but you're using all the other parts of your brain just the same! 😊 7y

So... Thoughts on The Breakdown? I loved Behind closed Doors, so I had high hopes for this one. I mean, it‘s not bad, I just don‘t think it‘s quite as good. On the other hand, maybe it‘s me. I think I might be done with books featuring the unreliable female protagonist. 🤷‍♀️ not sure what to make of this one yet.

Cinfhen I hated this book...it was crap 💩 7y

Hi Littens! It‘s my first post in ages. Can‘t believe I‘ve been off Litsy for so long! One of my reading goals for 2018 was to read more nonfiction. Right now all three of my current reads are nonfiction. Kind of weird, but good!

So many things to love about this book.... 1)Rabia. I loved learning more about her as a person and an advocate. She seems like such a tenacious sincere woman. 2) an in depth look at Adnan's case. This book goes into a ton of detail. Up till now I'd only listened to Serial. 3) insight into Muslim culture and community 4) details about our justice system. I don't even know what to read now. I want more updates on this case!

BookMusings Yes I thought this book was really well done! I need an update on the case too. I still think about it and I read this book months ago. 7y
RebeccasReading After I finished it I pretty much just started looking for updates on the case... I think this is really gonna stick with me too. 7y

This book was a roller coaster of sorts for me. At first I was so struck by the idea that it sucked me in. The writing is beautiful and full of atmosphere, but sometimes it seemed almost too much. There were a few times when I wasn't sure what was going on and it was kind of disorienting. In the middle the pace picked up and it regained my interest. Overall, a pick, but I would have made some changes for sure.

So, I got to a part in The Artist's Way where Cameron endorses a week of reading deprivation. I thought I'd try it, and I did very well actually. But then Wednesday afternoon I sprained my ankle. I thought I would read in the ER waiting room, but the property brothers were on, so I had to watch. 🤣Yesterday I started reading The Possessions, and I don't care if I ended the reading deprivation a day early. It was so hard to do!

I seriously have so many other books to read that I know will be so much better... but I can't help it. I started reading this series a couple of years ago, and I saw a couple of new books I haven't read yet. I wouldn't read it if it wasn't included in my prime membership, but it's kind of a guilty pleasure.

I really got a lot more out of this book than I was expecting to. It offered a lot of wisdom, and sometimes the most plainly written parts were the most profound. I think Catholics might get a bit more out of it than other readers, but honestly I think if you believe in a higher power you would find something to connect with in this book.
