Ok for what I would consider a MG book, this was shockingly gory!!! I didn‘t mind it of course, but wowza!
I really enjoyed the story, I wished it was a bit longer and we got more in depth the the past and current story

Listed to the audiobook, narrator was very Scottish which I loved but it made it a bit hard to follow.
MC starts as a live in nanny for a girl who won‘t speak after the death of her brother.
In the vein of “Hill House”, the home slowly driving them mad.
MC ‘falls‘ off a cliff to wake up from her coma and her husband has moved them to a fixer upper in the country.
