pickExcellent story. Excellent writing. Loved the sciency stuff. Loved the relationships. The hype is on point. Loved the book. Listened to the audible book and narrator, Ray Porter, is wonderful as always. Loved him in the Bobiverse series. Smiled often, cried a little. Highly recommend.
pickThis one took me a bit longer to read than Artemis because I had to keep pausing and walking away to let the science sink into my brain. What an absolutely phenomenal story! Fascinating science and interesting plot and the ending! What an ending 🥲

I'm not really a sci-fi girly so this isn't my usual sort of book but I picked it for a reading challenge (& based on a recc by my bf). Surprisingly, I loved it. Its well-researched, very sciencey, and frankly emotional in some bits.

pickI absolutely loved loved loved this book! This book had me laughing, crying, and feeling all of the emotions. Andy is a very good storyteller and is also able to put things in a way that even someone without a science background can understand. There is just so much in this book that is amaze. Friendship, humor, heartbreak, and so much more. I will be thinking about this book for a long time. 5/5

I LOVED this book! Yes things were a bit too convenient from time to time, but I completely feel for Grace, Rocky, and even the rock hard emotionless get it done Stratt.
This book was so funny, and unlike other "lit" books it doesn't over explain STEM to the reader so the reading experience is more pleasant.

pickI really have a hard time with this guy‘s writing style, but he is a master storyteller and I‘m a sucker for solid science. I loved this. A Ppesent day threat to earth propels at least one unlikely astronaut into space to look for a solution. Fun read! Coming out as a movie with Ryan Gosling as the hero!

Finished earlier in the week, I finally made the time to listen to the audiobook & I LOVED it! The narration was stellar (despite my being slightly weirded out that the narrator sounded EXACTLY like an old coworker of mine) & it drew me into the story. Loved the humor, heart, science & humanity combination & it even had me all teary at the end. For sure on my top reads of 2023. 🖤💛🖤
pickI managed to finish it before discussion day! I was surprised how quickly and completely I got sucked into this story, especially as it has components I don‘t usually like: being dropped into the story with no idea what‘s going on, lots of flashbacks, and present tense narration. Such a great story. The perfect balance between science and story that drew me in. It was absorbing and fast paced. Ryland, the MC, was well developed but I really loved Rocky. Sci-Fi like this just doesn't come around often and I need more like this.
pickI listened to this as the September selection for the #LitsySciFiBookClub but I didn‘t finish until October 1st. Oh, well. I am so glad I listened to this book! It was entertaining and compelling. The narrator WAS Ryland Grace. And he is one of the few male narrators, probably the best I‘ve heard, who does women‘s voices well. Run to your library or book store and pick up this book now, if you haven‘t already. I‘m behind most of you.
pickAbsolutely loved this! Fairly similar to The Martian in some ways but think you can how Andy Weir has developed as a writer. Made me properly emotional at a few points as well as being very very funny in parts. Up there with some of my favourite sci-fi novels!
pickI hadn‘t read The Martian but enjoyed the movie. This book came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was not what I expected but better than I could have hoped for. The great story telling and thorough science explanations along the way made this feel real instead of just a story. Looking forward to checking out more of his work. Fist Bump.

panI would recommend this if you enjoy science and engineering. Math and science are used to describe details in a way to up the ante for those who can understand the language. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people and I found myself missing out on more physical based action and tension. However, Project Hail Mary is a good book, it just isn't the book for me.

pickFast-paced book that will turn out to be an even better movie. A little dense with the scientific material but the physics constant is not overwhelming. Loved the Martian and love this book as well. 4.5/5
