As the weather FINALLY cools I‘m seeking more time in nature, and my garden, and the kitchen. Here‘s to finding more inspiration

I wasn‘t sure wether to “so-so” this or to “pan” it. I was 3/4 the way through when the author became very anti modern medicine…..and that just isn‘t good. If you need anti depressants etc there is nothing wrong with that. If you choose not to that‘s ok too. But anti depressants save lives. It‘s as simple as that. So for that reason I can‘t give this book a “pick”
Hubby and I have found a lovely place to spend an hour with our books.
The only reason I bailed is because I struggle with all the quotations from centuries ago.
Doing some reading before bed and this little man is cuddled next to me. This used to be Lessie‘s place. It‘s nice he is doing it now too,
Downloaded and ready to go for tomorrow
Two good ideas from this book…growing veggies upside down from a hanging bucket…..and how to test viability of seeds.
I‘m going to give this a go tomorrow. I‘m a bit apprehensive as I really didn‘t like the book House of Hunger. I‘m hoping I might like this more.
I‘m an OG swiftie from right back when I first heard Tim McGraw back in 2006. Reading this book was an insight into Swifts life I didn‘t have before and I loved every minute of it.
My next book to read based on the theme of botany.
The reason I read so much non fiction is because I thirst for knowledge. This book was really good. From learning about the labour intensive production of vanilla bean to all the flowers I never knew were actually edible.
My reading for tonight.
I‘ll admit I almost gave up half way through this but I did make it to the end. Not a bad book. She admits that a lot was made possible cause of the priv they have which is a breathe of fresh air.
Started reading this in bed last night. So far so good.
These beautiful flowers just arrived from the vet for us. Hen I say we literally hve the best vet in Adelaide I men we hve the best vet in Adelaide. God I miss my girls so much.
I feel like adding a little more non fiction into the mix might be a good idea. Going to spend the morning seeing if I can get into this.

Maybe I‘m not in much of a fiction mode right now but I found this one really hard to read through. I might come back to it lasted on this year but for now it‘s going back to the library
Keep our family in your thoughts. We had to say goodbye to Celestial today. She went downhill bad over the weekend and her bloods came back that her enzymes were all elevated. She was 19. Two kitties in 15 days. It‘s too much.
Next on my list to start tomorrow.
Loved this little book. I never knew there was so much to these gorgeous flowers. I also picked up some tips as to why I have no flowers yet…need to wait another two years!
I love peonies, they are the flower I always buy for my step gran. I‘m trying to grow one with no luck currently.
Ok, so now I want ALL DE SUCCULENTS…..especially. Ribbon plant! Unfortunately I have loads of succulents already and no more pots for more.
He knows he is it and a bit! Enjoying the afternoon sun on my window. Keeping me company.
I can‘t tell you how much I loved this book. I learned so much too! My favourite part was the chapter on slime moulds.
I downloaded this at bed time last night:) thought it would make a good read when I‘m struggling with sleep.
Hoping this is a lot better than the first book was today.
I wasted my morning trying to read this.
Meet Charlie. My daughter found them on the budgie cage cover this morning, smaller than a grain of rice….he is now nicely housed where he/she will be safe. This little one is still just a sling.
Loved it! I don‘t know why I didn‘t read graphic novels (apart from the crow when I was a teen) earlier.
I‘m going to start this one tonight
A great deal in information in here. Including some short little biographies of some of the big names in this field
Think I‘ll give this a go. I loved the evernight series, I‘m hoping this will be just as good.
I‘m not sure what was not telling with this book, but maybe it really was aimed at a much younger audience. Sometimes YA can be good, sometimes not so much.
Yeah, nah, this is not sustainable.
I suppose on the bright side the house is silent and I‘m getting reading time 😩
We didn‘t get good news today from her ultrasound. It wasn‘t cancer but a cat specific disease that had done so much damage to her liver, bile ducts, pancreas, gallbladder and intestines. We couldn‘t bring her home. It would have been cruel. I‘m going to miss her so much. It doesn‘t feel right.
Today is stressful. Last week we were told our kitty girl Mione might have liver cancer. She is severely jaundice and had quite a few other symptoms. Today she is at the vet for ultrasound, bloods and possible biopsy. I‘m trying to not stress too hard but everyone in the house is seriously on edge. I‘m turning to graphic novels to try and zone out until we go pick her up.
To start tomorrow. I‘m starting to get through a small portion of the books I own.
Finished this today. Quite some interesting information on fae and fae topics.
I have bailed on this one…l just wasn‘t enjoying it.
To start tomorrow night
A very good abridge version of occult history from the ancient to the emergence of Wicca.
I should not be allowed near books in shops, but here we are. Seeing as using the library has saved me over $800 since January first I think it‘s ok to buy myself one book, surely. Now where am I going to put it?
A really sweet graphic novel….almost as good as the tea dragon society I read last year!
