Another small cute book I have chosen for a bit of diversion.

Turns out this was just what I needed to break up the topics I have been reading!

I‘m in need of a small brain break from the three books I‘m reading so I‘m going to emerge myself in this sort little cottagecore book.

I‘m working on it.

Meet Augustus…..my eldest found him outside very emaciated. So we have taken him in, set him up a nice home and are feeding him yummy crickets. He is easily handled too and very friendly.

I‘m planning on starting this tomorrow. I think it will take a while to read, as it‘s long and the print is small limiting me to daytime reading by the window.

Finally finished today. I have deliberately taken my time reading this as war is such a heavy topic for me. I did enjoy it, but was unaware of any controversy surrounding it until today when I was talking about it with my art therapist (who often asks me what I am reading and she looked the story up).

A short and spooky little read. I love poetry but don‘t read a lot so it was nice to sit down and read some last night. This version is nicely illustrated

Tonight I‘ll start this one. It‘s been on my,Anna read list for many years.

Picked this gem up from Carpe Diem with Remi last year. Looking forward to diving in.

Finally finished. This one‘s been on the go for well over a year. Lots of beginner level info and a pretty good read.

I have to admit I almost gave up on this one pretty early on, but I did stick with it and was great fun for having done so. It‘s different to most of the YA paranormal I read and I actually ended up really enjoying it.

This has been on my TBR wanna read list for a very long time. I‘m looking forward to this.

It was weird, entertaining, bizarre, and def not for everyone‘s taste. There were people I love with and who come here who were told “if I were you I wouldn‘t open that book”. I‘m going to pass it over to my oldest daughter to read now.

We are having a hard 24 hours here. Yesterday we lost this baby girl, Midnight. She was our last rat. We have had rats non stop pretty much for 19 years. We are not getting any more as with my husband unwell everyone is taking on so much. Then when my husband was cleaning our ladies out (mice) we noticed our Sage who was 2 had passed. She was fine the day before. It‘s the end of our rattie era. I‘m going to miss them

Another morning with the nurse at the doctors for my son. I‘m getting a lot of reading done with these visits but am grateful his surgery wound is starting to look much better

Not the best picture but there were baby ducks on my walk this morning. Now home and utterly exhausted but it was worth it. Time for a cold drink some reading and some rest.

First book of the year and I have struck out 😩. The language was a little too scholarly for me, but it was interesting to look through

With this book done I have read 75 books this year. High is half more than I normally make so I‘m super happy about that.m

I also have more than that in places I want to visit now…darn not being rich enough to do it!

Finished.In really enjoyed reading this. I‘d like to add more to my weird collections, not animal things unless they can be got safely and without harm but more plant and rock and other oddities.

She is the most impossible photo subject….just won‘t sit still. My daughter has a better camera and she still wouldn‘t cooperate. Such a sweet diva!

This is the closest I have got to Barde. Poor little guy is getting more confident and trusting. He was at the back door talking (literally meowing back and forth) to Salem and Mione this morning. Still can‘t touch him, he doesn‘t trust us that much but we are making progress

Our days has been good so far. Considering my youngest wasn‘t able to sleep at all last night, not even for a short time.

This is her collection of games. I think we will be playing loads of games in the coming year.

Another morning at the hurdles at our local GP. The poor kid is so up and down with his toe after surgery. I‘d have hoped it would have healed by now but no….im getting a ton of reading done….but bid rather a kid with a healed foot.

Giving this one a go now.

This is a short little book with pictures, a name and where to find said fungi. It‘s made me want to go and try my hand at finding some of these…only for photos though.

I truely loved reading this book by Densey Clyne. It was published one year before she passed and reading her words you can feel the enthusiasm she had for the life of the macro all around her. I had not realised she has passed, she was part of my childhood being on tv a bit and she made a lasting impression on me.

I might have developed an appreciation for entomology but this guy was not welcome in the car today! We believe it‘s a hawk wasp (huntsman hawk) and apparently can be aggressive. With a sting the most painful of wasps (so he can immobilise huntsman) He was not welcome to buzz at my head!

My morning companion while the house was still fully asleep. And such. Delightful companion she is too.

Meet our newest outdoor critter. This Blue Tongue has decided she is going to share the back yard….and the cat food. Sometimes she grabs the bowl with her mouth and tries to drag it away! My youngest has named her Petra. She is not young either, she is really a large bluey

I can‘t find this book listed on here anywhere, but it‘s the one I‘m going to start tonight.m

I learned a lot from this book. I wish more of the creatures included were in my state so I could attempt to find them…but there are still many odd little creatures I‘d like to go find one day.

To start tomorrow. Not sure how I will go as books in war are not really my thing, but still trying to read my way around the world.

I really love Harry Dresden books! This one is no exception.

Really looking forward to the forth volume to come in at the library. This series deals with some hard topics but in a gentle way.

This series is just so sweet. I‘m really enjoying it!
