Continuing on with this series.
To start tomorrow night
A very good abridge version of occult history from the ancient to the emergence of Wicca.
I should not be allowed near books in shops, but here we are. Seeing as using the library has saved me over $800 since January first I think it‘s ok to buy myself one book, surely. Now where am I going to put it?
A really sweet graphic novel….almost as good as the tea dragon society I read last year!
Having a brain break with this book:)
My elderly little Darvian decided that he wasn‘t waiting for ups today and jumped into the food scoop when he was being fed. UPS are after we make sure your fed little Mr.
About to jump into this for the Cyprus section of my round the world challenge.
This is been on my tbr list for so long now. I‘m glad I finally got around to reading it. I love when a book differs from what you expect and wasn‘t let down at all by this one.
Ready to go for tonight.
There were a good few mythical beings mentioned in this little book that I had previously not heard about!
Dragon fruit and lychee vegan sorbet break!
I have been wanting to get some of the pagan portal books for a while. I‘m happy to have now started collecting. This will be my “spiritual” read for the next week or so.
This book has a lot of practical hands on ideas inside, which lead me to making a few things, including rich Esbat biscuits everyone here loved. I‘ll return to some recipes when the weather calms it self down to acceptable temperatures.
Going to give this one a try now.
I‘m bailing on this one only because it wasn‘t what I was looking for, not because it wasn‘t good.
To start tomorrow night (I like to read a bit if non fiction at night time)
Not too bad for a children‘s book. A fair bit of bite sized information:)
Finally a cool day and I feel, like cooking. This is a broccoli and tofu stir fry from one of my favourite vegan cook books.
Yes a kids book (didn‘t see that when I ordered it in) but it seems to cover a lot of vampires so……I‘m going to give it a go.
Unfortunately this one just didn‘t hit the right spot. Better to bail than dislike every second.
I‘m going to say this is going to be hard to beat for my best read of the month. I loved it. I devoured the story! A slightly different take on vampires but pretty damn good.
Adelaide was the hottest city in the world today with near 43c. Needless to say I didn‘t set foot outside, cancelled anything I needed to do and anyone who normally comes in a Wednesday….
I read and read and slept and read some more, managing to finish the last 85 pages of this book.
Was it enjoyable…yes. Brilliant? Not really. I‘d give it 3/5 star.
Now to wait for the cool change to come in tonight and jump back into So Thirsty.
Our first three babies have completed metamorphosis
I‘m going to preface this with….i can not handle war. I never have been able to, it‘s such a horrible thing for people to live through and it is hard for me to read or watch.
That said I really enjoyed this book. It deals with the life of a displaced child during the Croatian war in the 90s.
Trigger warning for all the things and horror that go with war.
My beautiful reading companion… who insists I should be patting her and paying her homage rather then reading!
It wasn‘t here before Xmas but I‘m going to read it now it‘s in!
I loved this book. Loved the lore and the stories I hasn‘t heard before like the night that won‘t decompose….
I hear he has written many other books so I think I might need to have a good look!
Not having the best day book wise. I think Lyn and I may have very different ideas on some things…like money.
I gave it 100 pages but I really just couldn‘t get into it. And, well life is too short and there are too many other books waiting….
And there is is, the transphobia I was worried might be in here. So this is a DNF from me. And now I need to find a new home for it somewhere as it has no space on my shelves.
Woke this morning to the smoke from the Grampians fire thick across the Adelaide sky:(.
I loved this book. My weird, wild and odd self had heard of a good few of the items features but there were so many I have not heard of. It was an easy and enjoyable read.
Our first chrysalis today, and a few more caterpillars are about to become pupa! (It‘s red cause the spare ,milkweed from a friend is sitting inside a jar, inside a red bucket out back)
I‘m so proud of myself. I have read everyday this month and completed 12 books (don‘t think I‘ll quite make 13)
Going to start this one tonight!
Completed! I just wish it had got here in time for Halloween last year!
This book has been on myself for a very long time waiting for me to read. I‘m a bit concerned that it might have transphobic content. Wish me luck.
I didn‘t expect to get through this book so fast. But I really enjoyed it and found myself making time to read a chapter or so each day. There is a lot in here about reclaiming the goddess oath and our feminine power.
I ordered this book way back in September from the library. It‘s finally here and though Halloween is well and truely over I‘m still going to read it! Might give me some good ideas for this year!
This was waiting on the library shelf for me today and I couldn‘t wait to read it! It did not disappoint. It‘s sad there is only one more after this, I have loved Charlie and nicks story.
Finished this one today. It was ok and I didn‘t DNF. But, yeah.
