First book of the year!!!

This book was the perfect distraction from the post holiday blues! It takes place over the holidays, as newly single Sophie takes on the many blind dates her large family sets up for her.

I‘m not sure I‘d want to go on 10 blind dates (let alone ones my family set me up on 😳)! Thankfully, I don‘t have to worry about that!

What do you guys think? Could you do it?

I accidentally clicked this book when I went to click a different audiobook, but honestly, it was the best accident this week. It‘s such a cute story! It‘s one of those fake dating stories and I‘m a sucker for those!

My only complaint isn‘t even really a complaint with the book. Sometimes, I didn‘t realize that Becca was speaking to the other characters, I just thought it was her inner monologue.

This was one of my favorite books in middle school/high school so I‘m sorta excited to listen to the audiobook right now (also I‘m cringing a lot because it has almost every writing mistake/cliche I ever made when I first started writing so yeah.....)

I wish there was a rating between pick and so-so. Or one above pick. Because while I definitely wouldn‘t put this in my top list of books (there were a handful of cringe moments that dropped it down on my list) I didn‘t mind listening to this book and would recommend it.

It dealt with problems and emotions that all teenagers will see, something Emerick, one of the main characters, doesn‘t realize himself at first.

This was an easy read and while I mostly enjoyed it, I thought the main character was too whiny. Every single thing that happened she was whining about. I don‘t know, maybe I‘m just too old 😅🙈

I‘m disappointed that it took me so long to finish this book, but I‘m glad I stuck with it. I‘ve always been a fan of Walter Dean Myers books and this one was just as good as the others I‘ve read of his! Definitely a good book to pick up.
