I had been meaning to read this. I‘m glad it was chosen for my December #bookspin.

I feel like everyone else has already read it, but if not it‘s about a 9th grade girl who was raped at a party and her struggles afterwards. I believe it‘s often read in school, and also has been banned in places. Jason Reynolds‘s afterword is another excellent perspective.

What an awe-inspiring graphic novel! The author covers so many topics and important themes—community, diversity, courage, team spirit, writer‘s angst, family, friendship, mentorship and more. Plus some fascinating trivia about how women‘s basketball finally broke the sexist barriers. A great read for teens or big kids like us, even if you‘re not a sports fan.

This was a fun read. It was an epic end to a series. It was full of laughs and good humor. This is a great book to read after a long day. And I finished the audiobook perfectly by turning on the radio and listening to Huntrix‘s Golden, after a long day of dashing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
