I really liked this in the beginning. It grabbed my attention and I was excited to read it, but the story wasn‘t what I expected and it did lose my interest as the twists were revealed. I think it was a little drug out in spots and I just didn‘t love the premise of this one. Good ending. Not bad, but I didn‘t love it.

This was beautifully written and such a powerful story about women. There is so much pressure in being a woman in so many ways and this really touched on a lot of that especially in showing the story of women from a different culture. A lot of heavy topics in this one - pregnancy, abuse, loss. Definitely would recommend.

I agree with a lot of the reviews on this one. What started out strong and interesting turned into a drawn out story that lost my interest quickly. The ending just wasn‘t what I hoped it would be and there was too much other stuff going on and really was unnecessary. It wasn‘t a long book, but felt a lot longer than what it was. Just okay for me.

This was really well written. Not quite what I expected. I thought maybe it would be more like Stiff by Mary Roach, but this was more of a memoir about a woman who worked in a crematorium. Very insightful and interesting to read about her experience. A little dark, but overall I liked this one.

Cool concept. I think it could have been a lot shorter and just written better. I was really invested halfway through and then it felt like it should have ended too many times and it didn‘t. It had a lot of potential, but just didn‘t hit fully for me. I thought it would have been a lot better based on the idea, but it wasn‘t for me.

Another 5 star book for me from Jodi. Loved this one so much. I already am a big believer in the dealing power of honey, so that aspect of this book and the educational side was so cool to read. But, the story. Another book by this author (et. al) that I stopped midway and had to pause for a second. This was perfectly written and will definitely stay with me. It‘s a must read.

This was a pretty good read. I enjoyed the setting and the characters, but I did feel like it was a bit slow in parts and the action just wasn‘t there. It took awhile to get moving and I was hoping for more to keep me interested. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and would read more by this author.

I definitely was in the middle with this book. The setting was really well done. It definitely made you feel like you were truly in it. But, it felt a little bit unbelievable and the ending was predictable in my opinion. There was as a lot I questioned and I felt like it built up to exactly what I thought was going to happen. So, it wasn‘t terrible, but it wasn‘t my favorite.

I really enjoyed this one. The premise of fake marriage has been done so much, but it was still really cute and fun. I loved the spice and thought the story line still managed to have a fresh take. Funny and good romance. Definitely a fun and light read.

Unpopular opinion it seems, but what the heck did I just read?? The writing was nice but I don‘t know. This was too much for me and I‘m so glad it was so short.

I really liked this book. I thought it was a really great view of a woman‘s struggle with mental health, but also her relationships as a woman. She combines a look at her issues along with her experiences relating to men and reflects on this and also raises a lot of thought provoking things about what it is to be a woman who struggles with mental health. Very brave to share and finish.

This was a really quick read that packed a punch. This is a story of an unlikely friendship between an older gentleman and a young woman. The two form a bond and find their way in life through each other. Definitely a bit of a tear jerker and just a really sweet story. Well written and beautiful.

Cute. A story about what ifs and what could have happened. Honestly I didn‘t think there was anything super unique about this, but it was cute and a quick read with some spice and fun characters. Overall, not bad. Just okay for me.

Unpopular opinion but I just didn‘t like this. I would get interested and then it lost me and it just kept going like that for me. I was bored for most of it and didn‘t like the characters. The story honestly felt familiar to me and I just didn‘t love it.

I spent the last 4 months of my life training for one of the biggest things I‘ve ever done. On Sunday, I completed Philadelphia Marathon - my first. 2 years ago I was very unhealthy and couldn‘t even run around the corner and I decided to make a change. The thing that helped me through training, was reading. Those miserable tread runs were accompanied by my kindle. And it got me to the finish line. You can do both. Oh - and I LOVED this book ❤️

Similar vibe as Shiver but not as good. Varying viewpoints and a bunch of unreliable characters. You can‘t trust anyone in this book. For me, it just took way too long to get anywhere. It was longer than it needed to be and the suspense wasn‘t enough to fuel it. More action was needed to really make this a higher rating for me. And then it ended and I just was underwhelmed. Not my fave.

I don‘t know about this one. Even though this wasn‘t a super long book, I just felt like it drug on for forever. I honestly kept hanging on for Angel because I loved his character. It game Big Fish vibes at first, but then just fell flat for me. Cool concept. Some interesting things, but overall, I didn‘t love this one.

This was just a personal preference for me on why I didn‘t care for this one. It was a bit slow for me in my opinion. And the shift in time and characters was really hard to follow especially when trying to absorb the historical elements of the book and the setting. It was a great story. I just didn‘t love it like everyone else does.

This is one of the best books I have read all year and probably in all the books I‘ve read, truly. It will stay with me for the rest of my life. It is so inspiring and well written. It is a self help style book, but I love the message of confidence building and the drive it made me feel. This book made me better by reading it. Do yourself a favor. Get this book. It‘s worth every single penny.

I really loved the premise of this book. It captured my interest right away and held it all the way through. I think maybe there were too many characters and it was a lot to keep track of all the different stories. But, I loved the concept and the way it was written. I think this could definitely be a really cool movie if they adapted it. Definitely a thought provoking and interesting book.

Just okay for me. Super spicy but not a lot of substance. Maybe because it was a novella. It just didn‘t have a lot of a story to convince me to keep going with the series. But it wasn‘t awful.

I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. It reminded me a little bit of The Time Traveller‘s Wife which I also loved. It had a lot of the same elements in it, but less timelines. The writing was beautiful and the author really capture the setting perfectly. Definitely a must read.

I could not put this down. I loved so much about this. I loved the strong female characters and the fact that this really centered on friendship. I generally love a good vampire story and this was so good. It was kinda creepy, a little gory, but also fun. The women were relatable. They were just like you and me. And the ending was just so good. If not 5 stars, close enough to give it 5 for me. Loved this one.

I didn‘t love this one as much as The Quotable Marathoner, but lots of great tips in here and inspiration. Great ideas on stretching and definitely vital for someone who is about to run their first marathon. Would definitely recommend this one for runners. It was super informative and really helped me a lot with strategy and thought process. Approaching my first marathon in less than 8 weeks! Hopefully I can apply some stuff from this book!

I think maybe this authors style just isn‘t for me. I keep trying and failing with her books. I feel like the writing just doesn‘t get my attention at all and I fall off very early on with her books. Whereas I loved the writing and found it to work so perfectly for an Alice in Wonderland continuation, I thought the story was lacking. It just didn‘t have enough to it that was really different and interesting. I agree with a lot of reviews that said that it needed more of Wonderland and less of the parallel story. I wanted more from this, but also a HUGE Alice fan, so I didn‘t hate it because it did have some cool elements.
