I won't pretend my kids are always reading, but once they get started they don't stop. They read while waiting for each other getting haircuts, they read in the café afterwards, and while I did grocery shopping they opted to sit and read by the checkout area. 😍😁
(Then we came home and they went straight on their electronic devices...)

My daughter has been reading the Order of the Phoenix for MONTHS. To be fair, it's massive. Every so many chapters she needs a break and starts a different book. Key words: "starts" and "different". ?Her "currently reading" is out of control. ? I suggested making a list, measuring progress, setting goals. Here's her list. She included two books she intends to start soon (but only after completing something) ?She needs to join me in the #24in48

saresmoore I love it! We finally relinquished the Half-Blood Prince to my daughter on her 9th birthday, Sunday. She‘s been taking many breaks, too, including one to go buy more new books with her birthday money. 😂 6y

julesG The German Google playstore said 12 years old. That's how my son came up with it, he noticed he could download it after his birthday. 6y

Leniverse @julesG Ah, nice! I thought it was 13 like other social media sites. My daughter is still too young, but it will be a shorter wait. 6y

julesG German regulations are sorted by even numbers. 0 y/o, 6 y/o, 12 y/o, 16 y/o, 18 y/o for films, games, apps, etc. 6y

Leniverse @julesG In the App Store it is rated 4+ which is a bit bizarre. Litsy Terms of Service say 13 though. 😕 6y

julesG The language barrier keeps my kid from spilling all the information and I am keeping a close eye on what he's doing online. 6y

Leniverse @Natasha.C.Barnes No, I don't think she has ADD. But I think I should tell her that she doesn't have to finish every book she starts! Some of these have been partially read and not touched again for a very long while. But for the library books she better read them or return them! 6y
