Marmie7 @vivastory Cleave's book, Trust no one, is on my tbr. Not sure if I want to read it now. I wonder if all his main characters are this annoying? I might give him another try just to see. 6y

vivastory The one in the cleaner was essentially a troll, basically if Milos Yiannopoulos was a serial killer. It had nothing to do with being an unlikeable or flawed character, he was just outrageous for the sake of it. I think it's my lowest rated book on Goodreads 6y

laundry_piles To bad about the Cleave book, I'm a huge Cleave fan, loved everything he wrote. Joe is my favorite serial killer you love to hate 😂 anyway, yay about Nailbiter! Such a great series! 👍👏 6y

Confession...I've totally busted my "no new books until I read what I have" rule. I just can't help it, there was a sale and...and...yeah.

You got me @TricksyTails , you got me! At least I stopped myself before I bought the first two volumes of Lady Killer too (which who doesn't love a lady serial killer!? Yessss).

I will definitely be reading a chunk of these before the marathon, but I will also be making another special stop at the library across town that has the MASSIVE graphic novel collection the Monday before the marathon begins. RainyDayReading @Clwojick You are super lucky! My library is pretty small. BUT my boyfriend has a library system in his county that is like 12 libraries that link together and share their inventory across the state...so I may be taking advantage of his membership to get my hands on some more 😈 6y

Best two-page spread I've seen in a while: using the ladder-steps of a whole interchange to emphasize what comes right at the end, where the ballon-string actually starts. The closer to the mouth, the later in the talk. All while joking on Bendis's penchant for this kind of stacked-too-high dialogue (BMB is the bald dude, here, IN the comic book). This is exactly the kind of fun I hope for, each time I pick up a comic book: maximizing form.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk The later issues of Alan Moore's Promethea really stretch the boundaries of visual storytelling in some neat ways. There's one endless conversation as character walk around a two-page spread of a Möbius strip, and they can hear their past selves speaking on the other side as they pass. 7y
