Murder in the Secret Garden
Murder in the Secret Garden | Ellery Adams
11 posts | 18 read | 6 to read
"There is a hidden garden bordering the grounds of Jane Steward's book-themed resort--a garden filled with beautiful but deadly plants such as mandrake and nightshade. Tucked away behind ivy-covered walls and accessible only through a single locked door--as described in the pages of Frances Hodges Burnett's classic novel--the garden is of special interest to Jane's current group of guests, The Medieval Herbalists. But when one of them turns up dead, Jane must discover whether a member of the group has come to Storyton Hall to celebrate their passion for plant lore or to implement a particularly cruel means for murder"--Page 4 of cover.

Continuing this series with the 3rd story (on audio). I really like the characters & setting in this series, even though I guessed the killer before the end. It‘s a cozy mystery—not really aspiring to be an Agatha Christie novel. Romance makes progress, a couple of new characters are introduced, the kids & cat are still fun. I do hope that next book‘s victim doesn‘t die by poison—this has happened in all 3 books. #frightclub #hauntedshelf

My fourth cozy for #CozyintheSun and #CYOReadathon which means I accomplished my #CYOReadathon goal! Yay!
This third installment for the series by Ellery Adams sees heroine Jane hosting a wedding and a botany group at Storyton Hall. This one felt even more adventurous than the last two books as we went away from the inn for parts of the mystery fun. There was more development between Jane and an important relationship which I enjoyed as well.

SamanthaMarie I have already begun the fourth installment of the series and am looking forward to the next Cozy Adventure ride that Miss Adams has created. 4y

Clwojick I actually cannot compute that my sister in law doesn't read, drink coffee or tea, and HATES chocolate. I'm surprised I agreed to be her Bridesmaid knowing all of this. 😂lol! JKJK (edited) 6y

Talking about Cat in the Hat: "it's a stressful book for some kids." Word. I couldn't handle that story as a kid bc I thought the cat was unnecessarily mean.
