While I'm sorry to see #24B4Monday readathon bite the dust, I understand @Andrew65 reasons and respect his decision to start anew. I'm looking forward to that extra day since I'm often off work on Mondays.

A complete PB for me this month, with 24 books read!
Four 5⭐ reads, plus eleven 4⭐ reads.
Favourite read - The Power
20 female authors
#booked2019 - 4 prompts
#LitsyAtoZ - 8/26 (female authors)
It's been a great month!
Looking forward to seeing what February holds 😊
January reading stats: 20 books finished, 2 DNF. Eight fiction / twelve non-fiction. 18 of 20 fulfill my personal TBR challenger for 2019 (they were on my to-read list prior to January 1.) my two favorites this month were In an Absent Dream and Destiny Disrupted. Not a bad start to the year!
January Roundup. Altogether, 41 books. Most were picture books with Peanut. These are the 8 that weren't... 4 of these were audio, the rest were ebook or physical copies. My top three of the month were Hunting Prince Dracula, Holding Up the Universe, and Hardcore 24.
I challenged myself to average a book a day in January; I did it! I decided to start doing these recaps so that each month, I‘ll pick a theme and share my top three reads that fit that theme - even though there were SO many good things I read this month, it seemed appropriate to pick the three that at one point or another set my blood running cold! “The Chalk Man,” “He Said/She Said,” and “The Girl Before” all fit the bill! #monthlyrecapswithmegs
I didn‘t expect to get much reading done this month, because my calendar was loaded with all sorts of things, including our friends‘ visit. So I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I finished 5 books this month. The highlight was probably Deanna Raybourn‘s new release, but there really weren‘t any stinkers😄 (Photo from a walk on the beach last week. Apologies to those in cold climes.)
Here are the books I definitely want to read, or in the case of War and Peace and The Name of the Wind, start in January. Not pictured is a Stuart Woods book that I need to read for my mystery group this month. Murder by Candlelight is a book I want to finish (it fulfills a challenge point). I‘m participating in the #24in48 readathon at the end of the month, so that will help knock some of those off! There may be other titles too, who knows?? 🙂
Had a kick-butt January. In large part because of the Read-A-Thon and a couple of days devoted to just netgalley reads. Personal best reading month! 🎉
If you want an endearing short feel good read then this is a beautiful one. I did not have to think too deeply about the plot I could just pick it up and get lost inthe pages.
