The Best Time to Read
The Best Time to Read | Debbie Bertram, Susan Bloom
8 posts | 1 to read
The little boy from The Best Place to Read can now read by himself, and he's looking for an audience. But everyone--his parents, siblings, grandparents, even his dog!--is too busy to hear a story in this fun and lively tale. When our young reader finally settles in to read to his toys, he gets a surprise visit and learns that the best time to read is whenever you have loved ones to listen! With catchy, rhyming text and vibrant illustrations, this is the perfect read-aloud--anytime! From the Hardcover edition.

My goal is simple - to try to read and then pass on at least 6 books from my physical TBR mountain this month, kicking off with 2 for this week‘s #readathon.

Clwojick Woohoo! You‘ll do great! 5y

Time for a couple of hours of blissful reading 📖 before footy and a night with the hubby ⚽️💑🥂

julesG Batch cooking! I really need to check this out. Are you following specific recipes? 6y
suzie.reads @julesG I make specific soups recipes but I make my own pasta dishes for lunches. Things like lasagne and cottage pie that I make are my mum's recipes 👩‍🍳 6y
julesG And you're making large amounts and freeze them? 6y

suzie.reads @julesG yes, it saves me having to do it in the week when I'm working 🙂 6y
julesG That's what I was hoping/heading for. I'll just give it a try. I've already mastered the art of freezing quiche, so anything else seems doable. 6y
suzie.reads @julesG I freeze most things as I hate to waste food and there is only me and my hubby. It still tastes as good as it does when it's cooked fresh so go for it 😊 6y
julesG There are things that even taste better when warmed up. Bolognese sauce comes to mind, though I still have to try freezing my vegetarian/spelt bolo. Thanks for your information on batch cooking, I'll definitely try freezing more stuff and pre-prepare more food. 6y
suzie.reads @julesG my sister is a vegetarian and she freezes her milanese etc if that helps 6y

1.) I prefer to, but sometimes it just isn't feasible. So I'll at least try to end on a page that breaks with a period. If that makes sense 🤔 (my coffee isn't working yet!)
2.) Both when I can.
3.) 😂😂 I'm doing this as LO sings the song of her people... I used to like quiet but I've gotten better at completely blocking out what I don't want to hear.

@SilversReviews #WhenYouRead

SilversReviews Thanks for playing...I like quiet. 😊 6y
vkois88 @SilversReviews lol I miss quiet!! Sometimes I'll leave a little early for work so I can sit in my car and absorb the quietness. I even try to get a few pages in of whatever I'm reading 6y

I have been out and about lately (not that I'm complaining), but I haven't gotten to read as much as I'd like the past few days. I'm determined to spend a good potion of my Sunday doing just that!

Birdsong28 Doing exactly the same thing! Great minds! Enjoy! 📖📚 7y

My #24in48 wrap up. Having insomnia sometimes comes in handy as I even made time to March. It didn't occur to me to use my phone to track the hours and I never remembered to check in on the blog but I had a great time! Now, I must do the housekeeping I neglected all weekend. 😬

saresmoore Housekeeping. Meh. Good for you! You accomplished so much! 8y
CocoReads Thanks @saresmoore I hate housekeeping and tend to do the bare minimum most of the time. But I also dislike a messy house, which it is most of the time. I've got laundry and dishes going so I can relax a bit before I jump back in. 8y
Reviewsbylola Omg I can relate. I kept up with my housekeeping only because it makes me panic if I don't but my laundry is another story. 😬😬😬😬 8y
Loretta Amazing job! 8y
