The Gospel According to Starbucks: Living with a Grande Passion | Leonard Sweet
3 posts
Introducing the life youd gladly stand in line for You dont stand in line at Starbucks just to buy a cup of coffee. You stop for the experience surrounding the cup of coffee. Too many of us line up for God out of duty or guilt. We completely miss the warmth and richness of the experience of living with God. If wed learn to see what God is doing on earth, we could participate fully in the irresistible life that he offers. You can learn to pay attention like never before, to identify where God is already in business right in your neighborhood. The doors are open and the coffee is brewing. God is serving the refreshing antidote to the unsatisfying, arms-length spiritual lifeand he wont even make you stand in line. Let Leonard Sweet show you how the passion that Starbucks has for creating an irresistible experience can connect you with Gods stirring introduction to the experience of faith. From the Trade Paperback edition.

I got the free red reusable cups that Starbucks was handing out to the first 50 customers at Starbucks locations in the US and Canada. I stayed up and went across town to the Starbucks that opened the earliest. Chestnut Praline is what I got.

This is bookish related, but for a month, I have been working on a Lepin (Chinese Lego) Barnes and Noble/Starbucks set and I finished it this evening! I wish I could post more pics because there are bookcases, seats, and a full Starbucks. It even has a tiny Lego display. It is so fun. 4,616 bricks. The tiny signs even read BnN and Starbucks

TheBookAddict 🤩It looks amazing. I bet the inside looks pretty cool too! 6y

SusanInTiburon That is the coolest! 6y
ReadingRover Omg that‘s fabulous!!! So many details! You have to post pics of the inside!!! I have to look into these. Space is limited for me so I‘ve been doing a lot of nanoblock sets. I‘m working my way through the tiny monuments. Then it‘s onto the extreme sets with like 5000 pieces like tiny hogwarts. 6y
CaliforniaCay This is so cool! So I work at Barnes and Noble, and I'm involved in a fb group for other barnes and noble booksellers, would you mind if I shared a screenshot of this with them?? 6y
