Probably will not finish catching up today, but I'll start! This is possibly the most #MusicalCover I own, which is funny because I don't recall music playing a heavy role in the plot.

I would give anything (except my children and granddaughter) to have this view right now. I miss the waves. I miss the salt spray gathering on my eyelashes. I miss the smell of Coppertone Sunscreen.

It‘s close to 33 degrees today (28 plus humidity) and the little bench outside my apartment is actually in the shade for once when I‘m home to enjoy it! Perfect for a homework break ☀ï¸
Another on my list. Loved it. I realised when I got it home that it had one of those stickers saying it was romance! Would not have usually picked such a book up. Through out the book he mentions songs, many from my past. Said Penguin had published a playlist on Spotify. I‘ve heard of this app but wasn‘t sure of it. A few minutes later downloaded and I‘m listening to the playlist . I had a wonderful day reading and listening.

Book 3 of my 5 lowest rated on goodreads. Book 1 was a pleasant surprise ðŸ‘, book 2 was not 👎. Let‘s see how this one goes 🤞
I know it‘s early, but I am a huge book nerd and am planning 2019 TBR. Thought I would play around with Goodreads stats to help me choose. First up, top 5 lowest rated books on Goodreads 😬. Wish me luck!
Adam Sharp isn‘t like the endearing and oddly charming we met in the Rosie Project - it was hard to believe they even came from the same author. Don‘t pick this up if you‘re looking for the same feelings Don Tillman gave you. This bordered right between a so-so and a pick for me - the ending worked for me but there was a big chunk in the middle that really didn‘t sit well with me.
My pup had dental surgery today and I‘m feeling terribly guilty so we went straight to bed when we got home for snuggles and snoozes.

Read review on my blog Psychonly: https://psychonly.wordpress.com/2018/02/19/romanzo-rock-graeme-simsion/
The story started off a little slow, although I am right in the middle of moving so I have been very distracted. I got into this love story and connected with all of the characters to a point were I just could not decide how I wanted the story to end because I liked everyone too much.
Book-reading first: Started and finished this book today! The story centred around music which pulled me in immediately. The love story was very real yet took a strange and unrealistic turn that I wasn't very fond of. Yet, the final pages brought back the realization that there is a difference between reality and fantasy.
How cool is this? Graeme Simsion encourages you to listen to the listed playlist as you read! 🎶
1. I searched for book apps in the Play store! Was so happy to find #Litsy
2. Goodreads - Reading Challenge
3. It does! I use Litsy and Goodreads to gauge my next read :)
4. We have plans with friends this evening but I just picked up the tagged book from the library yesterday. Wanted The Rosie Project but it was out. We shall see how this one is!
Thanks @Chellebearss ðŸ‘
Just finished this! I enjoyed it and got through it quite quick. It‘s an easy read and it takes a look at relationships and how many secrets people have too. I preferred The Rosie Project, but would recommend this for a relaxing read 😊
I have 3 current, small TBR piles. Not including the 50 books in #MountTBR 🙈 top left is my new books just purchased, top right is charity shop just purchased, and bottom left is library haul! Bottom right are some amazing pancakes I had yesterday at Alabama‘s in Manchester 😋 Off for brunch again today 🙈 I‘m flying through the Simsion book, but bailed on Anatomy Of A Scandal! Happy Saturday Littens â¤ï¸
This is a light, fun, funny book that comes with its own Spotify playlist if you're keen. I did it on audio over a couple of sessions while busily doing other things and it was perfect for that (good narration too). Not sure I'd devote the time to sit and read the physical book, perhaps a beach read.
My current audiobook. I've found Graeme Simsion novels hit and miss in the past. So far this has been quite entertaining. Let's hope it continues.
I finished it so it wasn't awful. But it's not great either. Graeme Simsion wrote The Rosie Project which I really liked. This one just leaves me meh.
Started this last night. It's not The Rosie Project but it's light enough for this back to school crunch time
Here‘s my “Sharp†book 🗡

I adored "The Rosie Project" & "The Rosie Effect" by this author and was excited for this one. It's a smartly written, grown-up story of lost love and nostalgia, which had me sucked in for the first half. Sadly, I struggled too much with the second half. It shifts from feeling nostalgic for a lost love, to having the chance to meet them again, and I had a difficult time cheering for the characters choices. Still a page-turner, but not my taste.
It was OK. Glad I read it; but hard to muster up excitement about it.
Well, it's not The Rosie Project! I started off liking the book. Then not so much. There was a lot of psychological twists and turns that I found interesting and the ending was fine. I didn't read anything about this book before I started listening to it so I had no preconceived ideas but if I had this is not what I would have imagined! I won this advanced audio copy & I believe I enjoyed listening to this book more than I would have reading it.
Man I was really disappointed. This felt like a bunch of petty characters. And that ending, if I knew that was coming I would have never read it. Boo, I wanted to love this as much as both Rosie books.
Next up, I see a lot of mixed reviews, but I have high hopes!

I VERY rarely do this, but I finally decided to walk away from this one. It just wasn't going anywhere. I should have trusted the Litsy reviews. A Rosie Project this was not. Now I know better! #thebestofadamsharp #graemesimision #didnotfinish
I've been hearing mixed reviews about this one, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. Like the rest of the reading world, I enjoyed The Rosie Project. I'm also a sucker for fiction that includes music. So without further adieu, let's do this. #thebestofadamsharp #graemesimsion #goodreaadschallenge #may2017reads
Well, that was... not really what I was expecting. It started well, but then it all went awkward. I ended up not liking the characters I think I was supposed to like. In the end, I just didn't find myself rooting for any of them.
A little morning reading on the deck, listening to the birds, before the Saturday busy starts.
It's finally nice enough to read outside. Oh, how I have missed this!
Happy book birthday! A story of first love, what-ifs, & a kind of crazy turn that kept me glued to the pages to find out what the heck was really going on! Throughout it all, the story was grounded using music, & even comes with a playlist. I'd recommend listening to the songs (or at least the iTunes clips) while you're reading, b/c I think it adds another level of depth & emotion to the story.
My #MayMostAnticipated I loved The Rosie Project. I'm hoping to start this one later today.
Hit up our local indie, the Bookshelf, to show our support during today's #authorsforindies event.
I admired this book more than I enjoyed it -- though I need to stress I really enjoyed parts of it. I'd love to heartily recommend this, I wish I could -- but I can only do so with reservations. There's so much I object to going on in these pages that I can't, while I can respect Simsion's work (which was just great) -- and I know this book achieved everything he wanted. I'll give it 4 Stars out of 5 on merit, not my own enjoyment.
I will not buy a new book... I will not buy a new book... oh, look... new Graeme Simsion. And I bought a new book.
#aprilbookshowers Bad cover good book. I absolutely loved this book! But I'm not crazy about this cover. I like the British cover much better.
I'm starting this #ARC tonight and I'm really interested in seeing how music is incorporated into the story. Below his dedication he encourages readers to listen to the songs mentioned as they read and that there is a playlist at the end. ðŸ‘#ReviewCopy #StMartinsPress
‪Happy book birthday to The Best of Adam Sharp by @GraemeSimsion @HarperCollins It's a great read! Here's my review: https://jilljemmett.com/2017/04/11/new-release-the-best-of-adam-sharp/ ‬
This was not at all the book I thought it would be. It starts off a wistful romance (what I expected), but then veers into the unexpected. I didn't feel like most of the characters were developed enough, but they told the story. More optimistic and contemplative than I would have guessed and I liked that about it.
Happy First Day of Spring Break! Here are my #Holiday plans! (This and catching up on my reviews!) #LyricalApril @Cinfhen
I'm excited for this #ARC the @EclecticReaders received from @StMartinsPress and hoping to get to it soon! #ReviewCopy #TBRTuesday
I really enjoyed this, from the author of The Rosie Project. It's definitely flawed in places - the main character is just a bit too self aware/insightful - I have a feeling if he were a woman he'd be considered a bit of a Mary Sue. But it's a compelling read and good fun.
