Just got home from a long day of shopping, and happy to say that I‘ve finished off two audiobooks, and started a third. So far so good with this one. I‘ll certainly be checking out more from this author. #audiobooksforDAYSSSS
Just finished this ebook cozy mystery. So much fun, and exactly what a reader would look for with this genre. Can‘t wait to read more in the original Scumble River series, and future releases as well!
Loved this quote. You can‘t beat a good cozy for down-home, folksy wisdom!
I love the old series!! It has never disappointed me, nor did this one!!I love Skye and Wally‘s adventure of a tornado, kidnapping, and a murder. You might even met a tin man, a mnuchin, and a wicked witch. This is the first in a new series about Scumble River with all our friends and family from the old series!!
Hopefully by reading further, I‘ll find out how the police chief of a small town can afford to buy his wife a vehicle worth around $125K.
I think I‘ll give this ebook a try while reading my hardcopy of The Thirteenth Tale. If I don‘t have at least two books I‘m reading concurrently, am I *really* reading??? 😜
Denise Swanson is rebooting this series. I've never read the other books, and didn't feel lost at all. I like the characters and will definitely pick up another. I just thought the solution to the mystery just fell into the investigators lap. That coupled with implausibility of the police chief's wealthy father made this a so-so instead of a pick. But just barely a so-so. It's worth a read if you enjoy a good cozy.
I'm so judgmental, but I must confess that reading about a town named "Scumble River" is not super appealing... pubs 9/5. #julybookmailforme
