How to Survive on a Desert Island
How to Survive on a Desert Island | Jim Pipe
11 posts
Being stranded on a desert island is a relatively common theme in tales. However, this book teaches readers what to do if they are ever actually in such a situation. Informative text and real life stories demonstrate how to survive being trapped on an island in the middle of the ocean.

What are your favorite books that take place on a desert island? I'm looking more for survival than romance, but I'll take recommendations for anything you love. So spam me with your faves, please! 🌴 😊

MoonWitch94 Not an island…but still survival. 2y
Cpg Not exactly deserted but set during quarantine and only a few stayed. I‘m reading it now. 2y

1. Stephen King I don't think I'd run out of good conversations with him. Plus his imagination may come up with a good plan to get home.👍
2. No Doubt love the music & I'd need another fun female around. Bonus she can design clothes 😉

Day 2: 🏝📚 I'm not sure how I feel about taking a bunch of books I've already read multiple times to a desert island (a big part of me thinks this should be another TBR), but I do know that these books bring me comfort anytime I pick them up. ❤️

Abailliekaras Lovely combo! I‘m a bit the same - it‘s a chance to finally tackle the TBR! 😂 6y

I‘m gonna go with desert island books for this one—and apparently I‘m bringing a whole suitcase of them! A wide variety to cover all my reading needs: spiritual, literary, or otherwise! I‘ve got fantasy worlds, reflective/devotional, history & intrigue, and some just for fun. I‘ll be set until rescue comes...

DebinHawaii Nicely done! I should have thrown a series in mine! 📚📚😀📚👍 6y

1. Pinterest 2. Both (I'm from San Antonio, so duh) 3. I believe it was Jostedal in Norway 🇳🇴 but I could have the name wrong. We were definitely above the tree line among the Laplanders and their reindeer herds 4. Strawberries and bananas 5. The Historian #friYAYintro

howjessicareads Wow, (2) sounds like an amazing experience!! 7y
Bostonmomx2 Oh so sad about strawberries, they're among my favorite things ever! 7y
Texreader @Bostonmomx2 Isn't it weird? Never ever could stand them. But I happily cut up endless strawberries for my daughter's lunches. She loves 'em. Apparently I overdid bananas as a child. Ha! 7y

Texreader @readinginthedark I've been Pinteresting for several hours to night... I'm addicted to it just like I am to Litsy but I count that as productive time. 😏😊 7y
readinginthedark Yeah, I have a problem. I justify it because once every few months I actually try something I've saved. I shouldn't even be allowed on there... 7y

And I'm very happy that the "real" Betsy, Maud Hart Lovelace, got to #livetotell her life stories in the #betsytacy books. #augustgrrrl
