I could almost see myself being in this book because I love cemeteries and graveyards so much, and I see ‘ghosts‘ too, though they are nothing like the ones in this book. When our main character is asked to help with a case due to her profession, she finds herself breaking all the rules her father taught her and must decide if it is worth finding answers she and others seek.
I enjoyed the mystery and I‘m going to continue the series but the romance felt a little too heavy. There was too much “I looked at his chiseled jaw and my heartbeat quickened”. The plot had plenty of twists and I really enjoyed the explanations for graveyard symbology though so overall I liked it.

Wow! What a ride. This books was so atmospheric and had a wonderful gothic feel to it. It was a different take on the traditional ghost story. I can‘t wait to read the next in the series. Thanks to @Slajaunie for the copy of the book! I will be paying it forward and plan on lending it to my mom to read.
This was my final book for #14books14weeks. Thanks for hosting again this year @TheHeartlandBookFairy I loved this challenge!

Finally settling into Dewey‘s Reverse Readathon. I hope to finish the tagged and get started on the next #buddyread for #literarycrew.

Look what arrived today from the incomparable @Slajaunie 🥰🥰🥰
I am so looking forward to reading these, that I am adjusting my TBR to fit them in sooner rather than later.
Thank you so much!

A dark-ish urban-fantasy/mystery with the beginning of a romance. The heroine can see ghosts but must pretend she cannot because of REASONS and the hero is haunted, by some of the ghosts she has to ignore. Will definitely go out to get the next in the series! 👻

Tonight‘s read. I‘m loving it so far and it‘s the first in a series of 6 books! I love coming up on a new series with this many books already published!

Amelia gray is just one of many #difficult women I can think name. The Graveyard queen series fits well with the season. I've read the first three and loved them. However I didn't like the end off book 3. Apparently the author didn't either because she wrote three more. Guess I need to read faster. #fallintobooks

I'm having a difficult time collecting my thoughts on this one. I almost feel like I floated through this book, like I was reading it from a distance. The story and characters are well written, but there's so many plot points opened that it took away from the main plot of the book. Definitely obvious this is the first in a series. I need time to process before I decide whether to continue with the series.

I usually avoid books that are part of a series, but for some reason, I wanted to try this one. It wasn't awesome; just ok. Not as spooky as I was expecting. Murder mystery isn't really my thing. Based on this alone, I wouldn't continue the series, but I read on GR the second one is much better, so I might give it another chance. ⭐⭐⭐ R for #LitsyAtoZ

So I love a good ghost story and I love the Graveyard queen series by Amanda Stevens. Except #3 which I thought just wrapped to quickly. That was supposed to be the end of the series but now there are 3 more. I will get around to reading them. Maybe over the cold winter months. #witchorghost #octphotochallenge (picture from TeePublic. I love their shirts).

Entering into The Graveyard Queen Series! I'm liking how this book is starting out.

Saw this at the charity shop today looks pretty good

💀👀 A surprisingly spooky read! I loved it. I've already ordered the sequel. A cemetery restorer that sees the dead. A series of murders in a historic Charleston cemetery. Delicious scenery, stellar main characters, mystery, paranormal, southern setting. My favorite things.

Not hair raising but flows nicely and has shocking moments . The southern accent really adds charm and life to the story
