Even though it's #8, it's a good stand alone book. I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this one. Easy to read, rounded characters and believable events.

Quite the winter thriller. What would you do if you were out of state at a conference, had a day or two free before going home and decide to join an old alumni and his friends on a little ski trip, and then the group gets stranded in a frozen remote area 30 miles from anything? And it gets weirder from there, with twists I didn‘t expect. It was ok as a stand-alone story as Isles & Rizzoli are a long-standing series I haven‘t read yet.

This book was so compelling I read for four hours straight! Haven't done that in years. The pacing was fantastic. Really could have done without the preface from the mind of a pedophile, though. You really get to see Maura and Jane come closer in this one too.

A friend of mine is trying to purge & these are some she let me pick out! There‘s more there & I can go back & get more if I‘d like! 🤯📚💖🥰. This is only a small piece to show how big her heart is!

The last couple books in this series haven't been that exciting. Hope this one is.

A few minutes ago, I received the phone call I've been waiting for for months! My health insurance gave me the green light to go to Switzerland! I will be staying for three months, so I'll have to check in an additional suitcase ? they can't expect me to "just take three books"! Maybe I should buy some snow related horrors.. getting in the mood for #Scaretober !

BookishFeminist How cool! Can't wait to see some of your photos! 😀 8y

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Errr, no! I'm more of a cozy mystery type of reader than horror... and am currently coming up completely blank on anything snowy ❄️ Agatha Christie surely brings the snow at some point... or my fave mystery series has some snow at some point - possibly in 8y
Sarah1960 There is always the "snowy" standby of "The Shining". It is most likely a reread but it is still great! 8y
[DELETED] 2232195534 Congrats! And as to books, there are always all the Nordic mysteries. Saying that because I don't know of any set in Switzerland. Heidi is all I can think of...😀 8y
