My first Marian Keyes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Combining the often hilarious Lola sections with the excruciating account of alcoholism and grim descriptions of domestic violence is a brave trick but she pulls it off.

I was not prepared for what awaited me when I read the tagged book. Don't let the sweet, romantic covers fool you- this is a deeply disturbing story of abuse. I usually love Marian Keyes and return to her work often, but this one was too much for me and I've never re-read it. Is anyone out there a fan of this book? #AbusiveSpouse #ConflictedWorlds

He most definitely was not!!! How do these men get away with it, and what is wrong with them. This was an enjoyable book, but not my favourite Marian Keyes book. At 912 pages it was really too long. Much prefer her Walsh Family series.

I‘ve not read a Marion Keyes novel, but I‘ve seen some great reviews of both Grown Ups and The Break, so I think I need to read at least one of her novels.

I'm traveling tomorrow, so of course I have my Kindle with me. However, the hotel I'm staying in tonight had books to borrow / take. And I so can not pass that up. I chose this one, as I've never read anything by this author and it sounds interesting. Hope it's good!

The only Marian Keyes book that I dislike and do not recommend

I got reminded about this book yesterday, so it came easily to mind for today‘s prompt. I remember this book being one of the first to teach me that there are #toomanycreeps and bad people in this world, even if they don‘t look the part. It is amazing what a well polished look can do for a bad person!

Started this on holiday and got lost in it! I need to finish it. I don't like the disjointed chapter styles but I'm sticking with it....

Great characterization and wit. Kudos for tackling domestic violence too. Liked this audiobook more than I had expected but it was too long (27 hours) and too happy at the end for my taste. Look forward to discussing it at my feminist book club next week.

This is my fav book by Marian. I love the way the story is from each of the women's view points. You laugh, cry, cheer and get mad at the main characters.
