Ink and Bone
Ink and Bone | Lisa Unger
In this explosive psychological thriller by New York Times bestselling author Lisa Unger, a young womans mysterious gift forces her into the middle of a dangerous investigation of a little girls disappearance. For as long as she can remember, twenty-year-old Finley Montgomery has been able to see into the future. She dreams about events before they occur and sees beyond the physical world, unconsciously using her power to make supernatural things happen. But Finley cant control these powersand theres only one person who can help. So Finley moves to The Hollows, a small town in upstate New York where her grandmother lives, a renowned seer who can finally teach Finley how to use her gift. A gift that is proving to be both a blessing and a curse, as Finley lands in the middle of a dangerous investigation involving a young girl who has been missing for ten months and the police have all but given up hope. With time running out theres only so much Finley can do as The Hollows begins to reveal its true colors. As she digs deeper into the town and its endless layers, nothing is what it seems. But one thing is clear: The Hollows gets what it wants, no matter what.

Pleasantly surprised with this book. There was mystery, suspense, and paranormal. I really liked the characters and the storyline. My only issue was I was disappointed a little with the ending but also there were a lot of characters and names to remember who was who. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I bought this book a few months ago from a local library bookstore. A couple of knicks here and there but still in perfect condition! Got it for 50 cents which is amazing for a college student. What‘s the best bargain you‘ve gotten for a book that was in great condition? (And yes, I‘m wearing bright leggings. I‘m working out soon.) #library #librarybookstore #newmember #tuesday

I absolutely loved this story and book. Lisa Unger has a way of describing characters in such a non-boring, detailed way that makes you want to know more...fast! I'm aware that some didn't like this book, but I really thought it was fantastic! 🤓

Sitting in one of my favorite spots on the porch, reading. Freezing my ass off but loving it all the same. This book is so great but man I struggle with little Penny's dire situation. I'm finding myself skipping over some of descriptions of her dilemma.

Hope everyone else is enjoying this Sunday 🤙

It wasn't working for me. The reader just didn't work to bring the words to life. For me. So I'll read this, because what I made or through was interesting. I am glad I had a Plan B... "Sleeping Beauties." It got me home and we unloaded the car.

Finished this psychological thriller while #audiocleaning and #audiomealprepping today. This genre is not my favorite, and this book was not able to hold my attention. The climax was not very climatic, and I found myself bored with the story with a hour left of the audio. But I did like the author's writing style, and I think fans of the genre would enjoy it more than I did.

RadicalReader @sammisho I absolutely love the cover artwork sos running there‘s something so perfect about black and white covers 7y

Stole some reading time to polish off this supernatural thriller. Finley‘s psychic powers drew her back to The Hollows for mentoring by her gran Eloise. The desperate mom of a missing girl begs Eloise for help, but Finley must grow into her gifts to assist. Finley leaps off the page with her ink and motorcycle, and the missing girl‘s parents compel. But the rest of the plot feels clunky and by-the-numbers. Meh for me - but I didn‘t read 1 & 2.

I did not finish this book as I found it incredibly boring. This should tell you something since I very rarely give up on a book. The reviews were fabulous, could not wait to begin. Page 73 is as far as I got. I started to hate Finley. Not a good thing. I have read a liked other books by this author so this one shocked me in that I don‘t like it. Snooze fest.

My choice for #Litsypartyofone was a thriller by Lisa Unger. There are missing girls, distraught families, a detective, and a psychic, or two, or three... There were a lot of characters and random histories and tangents that made the flow a little bumpy. I definitely preferred In The Blood to this one. Still, it was a page-turner! #womenauthors

Finley has come to live with her Grandmother, Eloise, in The Hollows, to get away from bad habits and to find out who she truly was and what. She, like her grandmother, can see things others cannot. She agrees to help her Grandmother's sometimes-partner, Jones Cooper, search for a missing girl. Time is running out for the child and Finley knows it. Time might run out for Finley, also, if she gets in too deep. This book was AMAZING! All the stars!

Not a bad book at all. Some of the parts relating to the missing girls were hard to get through. They weren't graphic, or anything, but it's hard to read children being abducted and such. The characters were well thought out. I plan on reading her other books. I really enjoyed this one.
