“When I opened up the bottle of wine, Thebes said whoa, you yanked that cork out of there like you were saving it from drowning. She got out her markers and drew a screaming face on the cork.”

Thank you so much @erinreads 💕💕💕
Can‘t wait to read it!
GIVEAWAY! I got another copy of this last week, so I want to pass this on to someone! I have yet to read this, but I‘ve loved everything else I‘ve read from Miriam Toews, so this should be good.
Keeping it simple, so just let me know in the comments below if you want this by 12pm EST tomorrow, 11/19. I‘ll randomly pick someone to mail this to. Open to US only.
Taking a pretty low-key approach to #readathon. Listened to Born a Crime while doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, now reading a bit of this.
Mini #bookhaul from the library bookstore. I already have this particular beautiful hardcover copy of All My Puny Sorrows, but I love gifting it to people and I couldn‘t pass it up for only $3! Especially because it‘s really expensive through McSweeney‘s. Also, really excited for the other Miriam Toews I haven‘t read yet!
The #stripes on this make this spine such an interesting addition to my bookshelf! #junebookbugs
Loved it. I didn't know anything about it going in but now that I'm finished I'm glad I read AMPS first because I think it's better and it's hard not to compare the two. That's not taking anything away from this though. Thebes and Logan are ridiculous and it's funny and melancholy and I love her writing so much and want more.
"If, along the way, something is gained, then something will also be lost."
Intrigued by the cover when I got this book, but turns out it's very good and entertaining. The story still could be dig deeper, but I love that it's light and a page turner.
