The prequel to I Was Born For This, (Meeting Lister) isn‘t in the database but I loved this line 😂
Like other Oseman books, I didn't love this but I also didn't dislike it. It was entertaining, but felt like a self-insertion fanfiction by and about fans obsessed over a boy band. The characters are all fun and the problems they navigate werr intriguing enough to keep me reading to the end. #LGBTQIA #Music
Fast paced, relatable yet from a fresh perspective. A page-turner.
I think more mood reading lately is leading me to bail on more books. I loved Heartstopper so much that I‘m up for trying prose by Oseman again in the future to see if it was the switch from the GN format or just this story, but whatever the reason, this one wasn‘t for me.
Phew, this week has been over the top work-wise, and I'm not able to read as much as I'd like. But at least I have this audiobook for the commute! It's definitely my favorite of Alice Oseman's novels, and I'm living for the narrator voicing Angel and Juliet. Both characters spot-on. #audiobook #CurrentlyListening
I just finished this YA book about fans and famous people and how neither group is quite how the other one pictures them. It was fine but not great, in my opinion. I do wish some of the friendships were more fleshed out, and a lot of the scenes felt sort of random.
Today we visited a newish bookstore for the first time, and even though I already entered @BennettBookworm ‘a #20kgiveaway I want to contribute one more suggestion of a bookstore to visit: Pocket Books in Lancaster, PA. It‘s awesome!! I got these 3 books and their selection was great. So many cool displays about different themes, comfy places to sit, fun book-adjacent merch, and the owner Julie seems really nice. I will totally go back!
Angel is a HUGE fan of the boyband The Ark. She‘s Muslim, bad at school, & uses her obsession with the band as an escape from her own life. Jimmy is a member of The Ark. He‘s trans, has severe anxiety, panic attacks & paranoia. No one in this book is as they appear but a chance encounter may help everyone come to terms with what they need. I wish this was a romance bc duh, but I still really enjoyed it. Alice has a way with creating characters.
I am really digging this story, but this is the SECOND use of "phased" instead of "fazed," one of my all-time biggest pet peeves! Which literary typos get your ire up the most, Littens? I know I'm not alone in this! #WhereAreTheEditors #CurrentlyReading

This book. Wow. I don‘t really even have any words to describe how much I loved this. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The audiobook was one of the best I‘ve listened to, even though one of the narrators annoyed me somewhat in the beginning. I think one of my favourite things about Oseman‘s books is that they just feel so Real and this one is no different. Loved it!🎤🥁🎸🧡
I‘m doing some #audiocrossstitching while I wait for my next D&D session. I‘m loving this book so much (the audiobook is So Good) and can‘t wait to hear what happens in the second half!
It was pretty fast paced and that‘s one of the only good things I can say about it. It does deal with how sometimes other people‘s lives aren‘t what you think and people aren‘t who you think they are. I just didn‘t find it to be very realistic at times. The ending felt kinda rushed.
If you have ever been a “fan girl” or in any fandom this book will speak a language only you can understand!! Has some chessy moments but it spoke to my fangirl soul and i loved it! #ya #iwasbornforthis #fangirls
A lovely tale of Angel, who thinks her boy band dreams are coming true -she‘s meeting her internet friend IRL for the first time and they are going to attend a bunch of events for their favourite band, including a meet and greet. Jimmy is part of the band - he feels like he should be happy because his dreams have come true, but instead he feels like a worthless fraud.
I love Oseman‘s writing with her diverse cast, wry humour and gentle insights.
Haven't read a book in a single sitting in a long time. This month my anxiety have been worse than usual and I think finally having these four days tho hole up instead of faking being okay helped. And jthis book (as well as reshelving and binging on B99) helped a lot, too.
"My weird bad feelings are probably half anxiety and half genuine nerves about tonight, plus all the other things I'm sort of constantly dreading. I tend to constantly dread things, even when the 'things' aren't actually dreadful."
I love this book so much! So pleased to read a good representation of what anxiety is actually like. 👍
It is a new month!! How did that even happen?
With a new month comes a new potential TBR too. I am *hoping* to get to all of these but I am also sure I will not have time. Wish me luck??
What do you plan to read this month?

HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Today I was supposed to be at work but after feeling unwell yesterday, I had to call in sick. Still don't feel 100% today but I do feel a little better at least. I hope you're all feeling healthy and happy today!
So this book is one I have been DYING to read as I loved both of Alice's previous books so I chose it as the second book in the #EasterReadathon! So far so good! 👍
