I loved this book when I first read it a few years back. Trying it on audio for the first time, I ended up loving it even more. Can't wait to catch up on Lady Trent's adventures in the next book, but I'll have to wait for next month's audible credit 😁

I don't usually read horror but when I do (1) it's something totally unnerving and maybe completely messed up, and/or (2) I really love the author. Two for two this time around!

I just love their friendship. I was hoping from the beginning of this issue that Kamala would finally TELL them (though I suspected they already knew). And I love the way that Kamala and Mike put their friendship OVER their feelings for Bruno.

I'm just going through my new copy of The Story Cure and it's making me want to reread so many books. I love that Weetzie Bat is listed here, especially as a cure for losing one's belief in magic. It certainly helped me when I was a kid!

I've been reading a lot of books about characters with anxiety lately and this is one of the most real. I also loved Kat and Meg's friendship, and the way this book depicts Meg's ADHD (which I haven't read a lot about.) My best friend is very Meg-like (and I'm more Kat) so I'm definitely passing this to her to read 😁

I loved this so much I immediately made my colleague read it. She did, twice. In two days 😁 Reading books with geeky protagonists like this one always make me so freaking jealous because we don't have anything that comes near the awesomeness of their SupaCon, and also I wish Taylor and Charlie are real and are my friends. Both the romances in this book are sweet, but it's the friendships and fandoms that sold me on this book.

On the one hand, this book is your basic romcom, so it may not be everyone's cup of tea. On the other, it is so rare to find a romcom with QPoC characters and have the angsty middle bit NOT be about their identities for a change, which I find very refreshing. Also, I like romcoms and this one is pretty cute :)

Haven't read a book in a single sitting in a long time. This month my anxiety have been worse than usual and I think finally having these four days tho hole up instead of faking being okay helped. And jthis book (as well as reshelving and binging on B99) helped a lot, too.

This is my second reading; the first time was a bit out of context, and I enjoyed it but wasn't overly enthused. Reading this again right after the first two volumes, I felt both the Bat family's frustration with Bruce's inability to open up, and Bruce's desire to protect them from certain truths. Now, I think this is one of the best Batman stories (and definitely the best Joker story) I've read.

The gameplay for Hogwarts Mystery is a bit too simple, but I'm still having fun right now. I mostly wish it was more like Pottermore in the sense that we can also befriend other players, or even if we can't, that the leaderboards and House Cup rankings are based on all players' games, so that we're not just competing against NPCs.

Another from my library! I was going to post Ready Player One since I'm watching it today, but I couldn't find my copy. Then I remembered that I gave it away and haven't replaced it yet! Anyway, Armada isn't as good but I didn't hate it the way a lot of other people I know seem to. I rather enjoyed it - I mean, I read HP, a little derivative-ness isn't going to make me hate a book!

I have two favourite books, and this is one of them. It's a retelling of the ballad Tam Lin and I love how it starts feeling just like a realistic novel about Janet in college (I will forever wish for a similar college experience; mine was nowhere near as fun) but when the fantastic elements appear it's as if it's been there all along and now we're just seeing another layer of the story.

I think in between reads I may just randomly catalog books from my personal library, or books I find at the store that I think are interesting. This is one of the former.

One of my older books, I bought this when I was living in VA. I'm really not a fan of Wolverine but I'm a HUGE fan of Yoshitaka Amano, and the art alone is worth the price of the book!
