The seemingly perfect couple in your street....their daughter Daisy is kept locked in her bedroom 24/7, the father has decided it's time to get her a sibling or 2, as his wife will be even happier with more children. A spellbindingly dark read that held me captive from the very start. Complex characters, told from multiple points of view I couldn't put it down. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #dontmakeasound #davidjackson #thriller #goodreads #tea_sipping_bookworm #litsy

Just brilliant Jackson smashes it again!
Packed full of the usual scouse humour and yet again another fantastic story. It had me totally gripped and was heart breaking at times. The ending is great.
I really do love Nathan Cody and can't wait for book number 4 to come out in May 😍😍

📚Book 11 of 2019 is David Jackson's, Don't Make a Sound (physical book)

📱Book 12 of 2019 is Liz Lawler's, Don't Wake Up (ebook)

Decided last week to start reading a physical book and an ebook at the same time as I prefer my kindle when I'm in bed etc but prefer a physical book overall.

my.books.in.squares I always have a physical book, ebook and audiobook on the go. I like to alternate between all three. 5y
suzie.reads @my.books.in.squares I can't do audio books I zone out and stop listening 😂 but really enjoying the fact I'm getting so much more reading done now. 5y

Won this via #readersfirst, but when it arrived it was the 3rd in the series - so obviously I had to go and read the first two. It‘s developing into a great detective series , this is definitely the best so far . Really unexpected twist at the end!! Warning - child abduction/abuse.
The author is a lecturer at the uni I work at- but I‘ve never met him- I need to remedy that!! How he has a full time job and is an author🤷‍♀️

Birdsong28 Keep an eye out for the rest of the series on #Readersfirst as I have managed to do that with some of the books I have won on there and there is another one coming out of the series I'm reading later on in the year so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to come on there. 😂 6y
TrishB @Birdsong28 will do 👍🏻 I haven‘t been on for a while as my tbr is literally taking over the house..... 6y

5* read! As soon as I started the first chapter I knew it was going be a good book! I had read the blurb and had a rough idea where it was going but the pace picked up so quickly and more happened than expected. I like that the book was narrated from multiple characters and not one main character. It was difficult to read how a child had actually settled enough to help others and it is not even far fetched in this day. I was hooked from the start.

Wow this was so good. It might just be my favourite thriller of this year so far. The story was really good. It built well and had some amazing twists. The end oh wow so clever.
Nathan is a typical policeman with a bad history behind him. There's little information about him until towards the end but you learn an awful lot just from his reactions. I think my fave character though was Daisy. You really feel for her and admire her sheer strength.

I finished this book that I got from ReadersFirst in a single day yesterday! I didn‘t realise it was third in a series about DS Nathan Cody but it didn‘t take anything away from the book. I do now want to read the first two! It was a really good solid thriller, it did end a little abruptly I thought but still very good!
