I think what I love most about this book is the strong female lead and that women are rulers in this world. It‘s a refreshing take that isn‘t done as much in media. I‘ve already started the second book in this series. I really didn‘t expect to love this book but I‘m so glad I picked it up for #litsyatoz #q #seriesread

And so ends this month‘s #24b4monday. Today I read two books in 7 hours and 14 minutes, bringing the weekends total to 20 hours and 14 minutes (and 43 seconds 😂) , with 8 books and a novella read.

Loving this book!

Brienna is sent to Magnalia House to hide her from the father she has never know and to develop one of the five passions: art, music, dramatics, wit, or knowledge. There she learns of the Maeveana throne, stolen from a line of queens, and become embroiled in a new plot.

I enjoyed the world the author created in this YA fantasy. This was another fast read if a bit predictable but it came to a satisfying conclusion.

I‘m just starting The Queen‘s Rising, but look at this cute map. 💕 Wish they had made it the endpapers though.

I realized over the weekend that it had been a few months since I did a CHARACTER photo challenge. Let's rectify that.

Very fun, engaging and well written book with a gorgeous cover! I read it in 24 hours including time off to sleep. Looking forward to seeing if there is another one!
