The Evolution of Claire (Jurassic World)
The Evolution of Claire (Jurassic World) | Tess Sharpe
14 posts | 9 read | 2 reading | 13 to read
Don't miss this pulse-pounding prequel to the Jurassic World movies that reveals the never-before-seen backstory of beloved film character Claire Dearing. Freshman year in college is full of obstacles--there are messy roommates, cranky professors, and disgusting dining halls. But for Claire Dearing, add "How to properly avoid being eaten by a dinosaur" to that list. The year is 2004, and Claire has been given the chance of a lifetime: the opportunity to intern at the Jurassic World theme park less than a year before it opens to the public. She is laser-focused, with her sights set on bettering the lives of all animals worldwide. But life at the park isn't all test-driving gyrospheres and falling head over heels for a fellow student named Justin . . . though she does that too. Rumors and suspicions flood the island, and Claire is determined to unravel the truth. As Claire searches for answers, she and Justin find themselves thrust into a sinister plot that will leave Claire forever changed, forcing her to question everything she thought she knew and bringing her one step closer to the Claire viewers met in Jurassic World and who they'll return to in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

📚 it is my favourite genre because it's the farthest escape from reality, a theme I could feel safe and wild in.
📖 most definitely cover art lol

You know I liked this a lot actually. It had some issues with who they were writing for at points, seeming for a young teen but then at the same time also for an older teen. Besides that the story was fun and honestly all I can think about is if the sequel that they kind of set up happens I'll def read it

Well this wasn't the honesty I was expecting from a YA adaption about Claire from Jurassic World. But accurate.

Mostly reading this because my 6 yo is obsessed with Jurassic World and Claire specifically. She found this book and had to get it so I want to figure out how much I have to edit for her age haha

4⭐'s. I feel like I understand Claire better now. I was sad about what happened to Justin but found it difficult to be mad at Tanya and Eric. I was mainly just reading it for the dinosaurs though 😅.

🌟🌟🌟🌟
After a bit of a slow start (we don't see a dinosaur til page 98), this ended up being a really enjoyable book. It's no original Jurassic Park, but it was good fun nonetheless. I'd love to see additional books from the franchise in the future.

I know there's a #BlameItOnLitsy tag, but I think I prefer #ThanksToLitsy. Because #ThanksToLitsy I discovered both of these books that I can't wait to dive into. I'll be starting with Claire. 🦎 (why are there no dinosaur emojis?!?!)

llwheeler You make a good point with the hashtags 🙂 6y

Target haul - I did not find what I went in for and $75 later...

The Harry Potter sheets were on clearance and all movies were 20% off today with Cartwheel. 😁 I have no excuse for the books. 🤷‍♀️📚🎯

When you realize a book on your TBR pile is due back to the library in 3 days with no chance of renewing it it gets moved to the top of the list.

{#bookhaul — Amazon sales and a preorder!} ??

I preordered The Evolution Of Claire by Tess Sharpe. It‘s one of my most anticipated releases of the year. The others I got at bargain prices in the secret sales last night! Grave Secrets of the Dinosaurs was Q9.98 and this B&N classics edition of the Iliad was Q9.36. Who knows why they were so cheap! I‘m pleased to say the least. #bibliophile #bookaddict #booklover #bookish #bookblog #bookworm
