Love this dedication page! 😍 #24in48
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I loved everything about this book! The only thing I wish is that I would have read it sooner. I loved how each chapter alternated between Elias and Laia. More often then not the chapters ended with a cliffhanger pushing me to read more and more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5~ Wow!! Have you ever found yourself on a roller coaster that has you doing all sorts of ups and downs, goes at a high speed and you want to know how it ends, but don‘t want the ride to be over? Buckle in! Because that sums up the emotional ride that is It Ends With Us. I can definitely see why this book won a Goodreads Choice Award and it is certainly deserving of it. Bravo Colleen Hoover!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 You know you are reading an awesome book when you are half way through and already wonder if/when the second book in the series will be available. This book has me on the edge of my seat and constantly trying to guess what would happen next. While some twists were predictable, others were not. Needless to say, I cannot wait for book #2 to come out.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 When given the prompt to read a book with strong female friendship I‘ll admit I drew a blank, so where did I turn to... that‘s right Google. Through my search I found the book Hex Hall and boy am I glad I did! In fact, the entire time I was reading the book I kept think “How have I not had this on my to read list? How have I not heard about this book until now?”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I absolutely LOVED this book. Gives a whole new twist to the story and made me love Captain Hook when I was finished.
I‘ve got 100 pages left and for most of the book I‘ve found it to be meh. Slightly disappointed because it‘s so highly rated. Maybe it‘ll get better?
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I don‘t think this is something I would have picked up on my own accord, but since I had to read a book with a ghost to finish my criteria for the month I picked it up. The book did leave me guessing at different points of the book while other parts where blatantly obvious.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Feeling very grateful for Reading Rivalry right now. I had this book on my TBR list, but if it wasn‘t for that group who knows how long it would have taken me to read it. LOVED this book and cannot wait to read practical magic. 😍
Started this today as part of my criteria reading for the group Reading Rivalry on Facebook. Must say I‘m really enjoying it so far.
5/5-While I was initially intrigued by the cover, once I read that Jake Burt is also a 5th grade teacher I knew I had to read it. & boy am I glad I did! I loved everything about this book from beginning to end. Burt‘s writing reminded me of James Patterson in the sense that his characters were not only humorous, but also relatable and loveable. I cannot wait to get a copy of this book to put in my classroom & continuously recommend to my students.
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Unpopular opinion: I just found this book to be so-so. Maybe it was due to all the hype? It wasn‘t fully what I was expecting. I think apart of me was expecting more of a wilderness survival component. The book does do an excellent job of describing Alaska and has me wanting to visit it one day even if I will be deemed “one of those tourist”.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 The minute I read the summary of this book I was hooked and it did not disappoint. My only complaint about the book is that it is over and I‘m still looking for more!! I really enjoyed the characters, as well as the different plot twists. Really hoping this book has a sequel. 🙏🏻
“I‘m not scared of your skin,” he continues, “because you‘re still the same person. What your father did to you doesn‘t Chance who you are. You aren‘t your fathers mistakes. You aren‘t your father‘s curse. Your legacy rests with you.” He resumes his place at my side and continues walking. “At least, that‘s what I tell myself.” ❤️
Today I got one of the most exciting emails from #NetGalley. It said that my request to read A Touch of Gold had been approved by the publisher. While I know the book is available in 3 days I have been DYING to read this book ever since I read the summary! Despite hosting 2 birthday parties for my boys this weekend I plan on getting this book finished. **I tried sharing my excitement with my husband earlier and all I got from him was “meh”** 😒
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 I was hoping to like this book more than I did. To be honest I wasn‘t sure if I was going to bother reading it, but I saw all the hype for the book & it had me curious. Overall, I enjoyed getting to know Caledonia and her crew throughout the story & often thought they were doomed. I found myself saying, “Oh no! Now what?” To me the ending was lackluster & rushed. However, I am intrigued to see what happens in book 2.
I‘ve thought about reading this book in the past but didn‘t have it high on my TBR list. However, once I saw that the book was being made into a Nexflix adaptation I knew I had to read it before it was released. Overall, I enjoyed the book although I did find Lara Jean to be childish at times, or maybe I only felt this way because that‘s how it‘s narrated on the audiobook? While this wasn‘t exactly what I imagined I will read book number 2.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I was initially drawn to this book because of the cover and title. Plus, the idea of reading about a matchmaker sounded highly entertaining. Throughout the book, I felt a roller coaster of emotions. I felt everything from laughing and cheering Sasha on to wanting to shake some sense into her. This is a quick and fun read that I´ll surely recommend to others. My only question is: will there be a sequel?! Because that ending... WOW!
Fake it till you make it.Devin may be a princess, but it isn‘t the life path she‘d choose. She‘d rather use her ability to talk to animals to heal them. But she doesn‘t get a say and is sent to Royal Academy-where attendance is mandatory for all young royals in the kingdom. When Devin arrives at RA she feels something is off.Is she right or is she just refusing to give RA a chance?Afterall, what can go wrong with the Fairy Godmother as headmistress?
Since we are limited to 451 characters on here I‘ve decided to start a book blog for my reviews on the books I‘ve read/am reading. Many titles are ARCs that I‘ve had the privilege to read. I‘ll still continue to post my condensed reviews here, but if you want to read my full reviews go to: www.bibli0phagist.blogspot.com
3.5/5 Cam & Cass have never met their parents. They‘ve been told their mom died & their dad disappeared after leaving them with their Oma.Cam thinks there must be more to the story, their dad wouldn‘t abandon them- would he?The answer comes in the form of a mysterious door which leads to The Hotel Between. The hotel has the ability to transport you around the world, statues that are more than just statues & mysteries that are waiting to be solved.
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 (due to length of excerpt) Thanks to NetGalley I received an early excerpt of this graphic novel. We are introduced to Harleen Quinzel who goes to live with her grandma- only her grandma has died so she is now living in an apartment with a drag queen who goes by Mama. We also get a chance to see how Harleen becomes friends with Ivy. The excerpt is only 28 pages but I am excited to read the remaining novel when it is released next year.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 This graphic novel is a collection of one-shots all with the common theme of Batman and Catwomanś wedding. There were times when I was genuinely confused by the story (Robin vs Raś al Ghul), but that could be my own fault for not keeping up with the storylines. There were other storylines I loved (Batgirl vs Riddler & Joker vs Harley). I enjoyed the art throughout the graphic novel and felt like it was cohesive.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I “read” this book via audiobook and I loved everything about it. From the three points of view to the flashbacks throughout the story. I found it to be a very fast read. While this is my first book by this author it will not be my last.
