so-soI somehow missed reading these stories when I was a kid but I love the movie adaptation. I had no idea that these stories were a collection of folk stories/urban legends and not original stories from the author, which I found somewhat disappointing as I‘d actually already heard a good amount of the stories before (the calls coming from inside the house, hook hanging on the car door, etc). I also felt like many of the stories just sort of end ⬇️
candc320 Cont‘d: abruptly without really any ending. I wanted more from so many of these super short snippets of stories! I will say the narrator did an excellent job of creating a creepy, uncomfortable feeling and I found myself unnerved a few times listening to him cackle or scream. I can definitely see how these stories would terrify a person if read as a kid and I‘m glad I finally experienced it! 🌟🌟🌟 2y
