I haven't been very active lately, reading has taken a bit of a back seat. Instead I've been stubbornly battling onwards with a diy fitted kitchen and living room revamp. As a result all of my books are piled up in the upstairs of our house.... I'm sure this isn't really a fire hazard! On the plus side my upper arms have been getting a great work out from all the heavy lifting 🙄

This is more complicated than anything I‘ve ever built from scratch, and I don‘t have room for more bookshelves, but it makes me want to build some! I have all the tools I would need except for a drill press, my dad has one I could borrow and he lives right down the street. It‘s so tempting to try! 😬📐🛠

Last night we finished most of the stuff on our fireplace wall... Even got some books in the alcove (very rough arrangement for now lol).... Nice as the facing wall doesn't even have plaster yet!

So...not a great day for my willpower (and this wasn't even everything I bought). When there are discounted books to be had, my eyes glaze over and I turn into Daffy Duck: "It's mine, ya understand? Mine, all mine! Mine, mine, mine!" *maniacal laughter* Then the fog clears and I have to do damage control. I feel like this community will commiserate rather than judge.

The book was very cute! I felt like I wrote it, or we could be friends! The mid section with drink recipes from Mamrie Hart! I have tons of great ideas now!
