Today‘s prompt was Daughter/Son but since I found 16 #Daughter titles in my GoodReads #read shelf, I thought I would just feature them!

Full of surprises that kept me wanting more! So well written that I could feel the emotions. Gripping.
How well does a mother really know her daughter?
Very intriguing from the start, 15 year old Naomi is missing , the book is written from her mother‘s perspective. I loved the authors clever writing style switching from days after the event to a year on from the event Slowly untangling each characters story and lies.
Still not quite sure how I feel about the ending🤷♀️ didn‘t rock my world but cleverly written ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Abbastanza carino, è un thriller, un classico, ma bello.
Solid read. Not thrillery exactly but thrilleresque along w grade A family drama. Not what I expected, not as fast paced... but very satisfying in the end.
Here‘s a pic of my daughter holding The Daughter. She definitely didn‘t want to be in my pic. She‘s supposed to be packing to move about four hours away to attend art school on Saturday. As for the book, it‘s the story of Jenny, a British physician whose 15 year old daughter disappears. It‘s less thriller and more family drama. How well do we really know our kids? Jenny thought she and her daughter were close. Not so much.
Not a big fan. Hoped for more... something. I‘m not sure more what. More closure or something.
@BookishMarginalia was forced indoors by rain and #MiaCat (male 😋) decided to perch on her book. 😻#CatsOfLitsy
On the book front, dear Littens, @WanderingBookaneer and I have been reading a lot lately! That's the upside of no work and no power :) (I'll see if I can gather the stack of what I've read in the last 2 weeks and post it tomorrow.)
This is my spot at the corner of our back terrace. The lunchbox has snacks and water. The 2 books are the ones I'm considering for my next read.
I miss you, Littens! 💜💜💜
Initially I hoped this would be a good book however after getting mid way through I got slightly bored so decided to give up! However what I did read was good just not fantastic enough to keep me interested. #Thedaughter #janeshemilt
Was a tad disappointed considering the time I was on the library waiting list for this book.
⭐⭐⭐
I thought I would love this book. The mystery draws you in immediately. The story became old for me about three quarters of the way through. The ending was good though I don't know if the end was a choice or was forced. I keep going back and forth. Good book to pass the time but not a must read.
I would say that I enjoyed the first 80% of this one. I liked the back and forth from past to present. The entire story really fell apart at the end. It felt rushed and just really didn't make sense.
