I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection (although I‘ve missed like three days so far!). No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!) Feel free to join in!

Old Hollywood autobiographies are the best!
I will forever reread these, especially Marilyn Monroe and Lucy Ball
Lucille Ball‘s memoir, which was discovered in her papers after her death. I recommend the audio, which is narrated by her daughter, Luci Arnaz. Mostly because Luci really does a bang-up impression of her father Desi Arnaz. 😀 I paired this with season 3 of “The Plot Thickens“ podcast, which did a 10-part series on the lives of Lucy and Desi. I recommend both of these together for a full picture.

Prompt: “I‘m Loud or Boisterous”
This was very enjoyable. I audiobooked this and it‘s read by Lucy‘s daughter who nails the accents of her parents perfectly. The book recounts Lucille‘s family life and her early career, the tumultuous times trying to build her family and life with Desi, then life at DesiLu empire with a young family, and her life after that. A story of a life lived with ambition, passion and a desire for love and happiness. ❤️
I‘m listening to this one on Audible, and it is just lovely. Her children found the manuscript along with hours of tape-recorded interviews and notes in a box after she died. It is read by her daughter Lucy, and she does a wonderful job.
I‘ve always been a huge I Love Lucy fan. I bought and read half of this book years ago (can‘t remember why I didn‘t finish it). After listening to Desi‘s autobiography last week, I had to use my audible credit to buy this because it‘s narrated by Lucie Arnaz (who does a phenomenal job btw). It complements Desi‘s book nicely, although Desi was a bit more candid. I‘m so glad her children found this and published it after her death. 5⭐️ Recommended!
I love her!
What a woman, loved hearing her story.
Nice one sitting read with a legend
I‘ve gotten a few chapters deep into this memoir and I‘m enjoying it so much. This book is so well-written and it‘s just as if you‘re sitting down with Lucy to hear her life story. Highly recommend for Lucy fans or any showbiz learners! 👍🏻
I‘ve always admired Lucille Ball‘s work and her talent. I‘ve been searching for this book for a long time, the only memoir written by Lucy herself. Finally, I found it in a bookstore today, which is crazy, because I realized today was her birthday. Looking forward to reading this one! 💖

“I'm happy that I have brought laughter because I have been shown by many the value of it in so many lives, in so many ways.”
—Lucille Ball
I grew up loving Lucy- and I have memories of watching that show with family and friends over my whole life really! So when I saw this as an Audible Deal of the Day- and read aloud by Lucy and Desi‘s daughter - I couldn‘t resist! Though I did know a lot of this already, it was so special to hear it in Lucy‘s own words! She was a real star and such a wonderful person!! I just wish there was more to this for longer listening and #AudioColoring!

My grandma used to watch a bunch of us grandkids at once, they were all older than me so they did their thing & I would watch I Love Lucy with my her! ❤️ some of the best memories for me! I still watch reruns to this day! Vitameatavegamin still cracks me up.
This book feels like talking to Lucille about her life and I have so much respect for her. Funny and business savvy.
I can‘t believe that I almost missed out on today‘s #AudibleDailyDeal 🙀 Only an hour and a half left and I snagged it! ❤️
I‘m really not a big reader of biographies or autobiographies, but this is one of the best books I‘ve ever read. I read this years ago & there‘s a reason why it still sits on my “favorites” shelf. It‘s so interesting and it truly shows what a strong woman Lucille Ball was & all that she had to overcome.
Very awesome book. Written by the crazy red head herself and packed full of info that not many people know. I now have even more respect and love for this woman after having read this book. I dare say... I just Love Lucy 💜
TBR pile question: who adds to you TBR a lot?
My mom will pick up books and give them to read and I always do! She‘s a part of my problem! 😂 A few she has grabbed for me!
I ❤️ Lucy so much. I've had these two books (Love,Lucy by Lucille Ball, and Ball of Fire by Lucille Ball) for a long time. 2017 will be the year littens 😺😺
