Lucille Ball is quite simply one of the funniest females on the planet. She's been gone since I was a baby but she's a classic comedienne and anyone who denies that claim can fight me! She's awesome and has an interesting story.

pickI‘ve always been a huge I Love Lucy fan. I bought and read half of this book years ago (can‘t remember why I didn‘t finish it). After listening to Desi‘s autobiography last week, I had to use my audible credit to buy this because it‘s narrated by Lucie Arnaz (who does a phenomenal job btw). It complements Desi‘s book nicely, although Desi was a bit more candid. I‘m so glad her children found this and published it after her death. 5⭐️ Recommended!
I love the pilot episode of I Love Lucy where she‘s so into her book, she‘s startled when people come into the room and throws the book out the window.😆 #ilovelucy #booksintv 📚📖

65 years ago the I Love Lucy show premiered. I didn't know a whole ton about Lucille, her childhood or career in its entirety until I read this book for book club a few years ago. This, of course, made me find more books about her and learning a great deal. Fascinating smart, wounded woman. I highly recommend reading a little about her.
