Book 10 in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Series (#SeriesLove2024) has Mma Ramotswe‘s precious tiny white van dying. As usual, this read was such a comfort. I enjoy spending time with these characters. And we finally learn the name of the second apprentice, Fanwell.
Lisette Lecat does a wonderful job narrating these books.
This was the first book that came to mind for #NationalTeaDay Love this series, and tea is a big feature of it.

Another delightful No. 1 Ladies‘ Detective Agency story
This was a reread for me, as I slowly make my way through the series again. If you have access to the audiobooks, I highly recommend going that way, as the narrator is delightful. In fact, when I read the print copies, in my head I hear Lissette Lecat‘s voice.
This one features a mystery about a football (soccer) team playing poorly, and jabs lots of fun at men for their obsessions with sports and cars.
@umbrellagirl I love this tea! The tins are great for craft projects after you've enjoyed all the tea! I live their Earl Grey with Cardamom, but the black currant looks amazing! #harneyteagiveaway
1. Tea Time for the Traditionally Built - I love the entire series of The No. 1 Ladies‘ Detective Agency, by Alexander McCall Smith. This is the first of the series. ☕️🕵🏾♀️📚
2. Donna Tartt 🥮
3. 🎥 Thelma & Louise; 📺 Touching Evil (both UK& US)
4. Tabbouleh 🥙 & Tacos 🌮
Happy Monday, Littens!!

#puremorning #90sinJuly I can't think of a nicer way to start the day than sharing a steaming cup of bush tea with Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi at the offices of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.
Another find was these two hardcovers of books in his No1 Ladies Detective Agency series, also in perfect condition. #ThriftstoreBookHaul
I love Alexander McCall Smith's books 😊. Tea Time for the Traditionally Built is no exception, and is full of elegant observations and gentle humor.
We'll be at my mother-in-law's house all day tomorrow for UK Mother's Day so we celebrated my Mother's Day today.
I wanted to go to a cafe about an hour away from home called Libby's Tea Room. Because Libby.
I can picture some other "traditionally built" ladies joining me there for coffee and cake!

If you're in need of a perfect afternoon tea, head to the Lowell Hotel in New York for the most lovely time ever.
The only pie I have for #pieday is a plumb hand pie, but I'm not complaining!

Lovely paragraph that captures quite poignantly something that all of us must have felt at some time or the other.
