Interesting read. Definitely a trigger for some. Hard topics, dealing with the complexities of being a teenager and growing up.
This book is set by a #lakeside - Eagle Lake where, 10 years earlier, one of Katie‘s best friends accused her father of sexual assault. Now that he is being released from prison, are Katie‘s memories real and can she understand her past?
I enjoyed this one.
I‘m only about 35 pages into this book but so far I‘ve noticed quite a bit of British slang that seems out of place. I get that the mom/wife was from England, but i find it hard to believe that the dad would be calling plexiglass “Perspex” after six years in prison in New York. The narrator is also using British slang just in her thoughts or whatever and it just throws me off. I hope this doesn‘t continue...
This book was good. Two girls sharing their summers together thinking they‘d be friends forever torn apart by a situation. The same situation brings different heart I aches to each girl and it takes a while for them to find each other again for healing.
Reading and snuggles! Just now realizing that this might not have been the best page to snap a pic on 😂 chapter 4 is apparently going to be more racy than the first 3. P.S. this is supposed to be a suspense/ thriller not a romance and up until now I would have agreed with that 😂
1. Not a pet of my own but my dad has a 15 year old bloodhound mix. Her name is Nala and she doesn't like me. She doesn't like anyone but my dad & boyfriend. She's just a crotchety old lady.
2. Finish the tagged ebook! It's been a month
3. Yoga and cake decorating
4. Illinois where my BF family is, New York to see my sick aunt and I'd love to get just out to Fort Myers Beach soon
5. What's everyone reading this weekend?

Meh.
Mediocre at best.
The hours I spent reading it will soon be forgotten.
It‘s definitely not a #sunnysunday in Kansas, but I started the tagged book while Owen made his representation of our snow family. From left: me, Anthony, and Owen ☃️.

I love it when a book starts off with an awesome quote!!
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. There were parts I really loved and parts I absolutely hated. The story had so much potential but it was full of triggering subjects with only a partial solution.
Book 4 or 2019
