As always, late to the party but nothing better than an audio celebrity memoir.

So funny and good and hard to put down, I loved it! I really only ever saw Busy on Freaks and Geeks, but she‘s hilarious! Very readable.
⭐️: 4.5/5
I don‘t normally read autobiographies, but I read or heard something recently that made me think I‘d like this one. Busy & I grew up in the same era of late 90‘s where apparently your parents don‘t know where you are or what you‘re up to. From there her life is quite a ride. I feel like she didn‘t hold back & this story is def in her words - all the ups & downs & in between. I‘m glad ‘she‘s doing her best‘. She deserves it. Busy is genuine.
Book #37: 🎧 Audiobook. So cool to learn more about Busy‘s experiences and perspectives. I‘ve known her mainly from Dawson‘s Creek and Freaks & Geeks. I wish she had talked more about HER (not Katie Holmes lol) experience on Dawson‘s Creek only because I love that show. I had no idea about her involvement in Blades of Glory. Her birth story was absolutely terrifying. I‘ve now added Cougar Town and Girls5eva to my watch list.
I liked this celebrity memoir. She's flawed, candid, and likable.
Sewed masks today while listening to Busy blather on...
I only knew Busy from Freaks and Geeks but I needed a companion on my drive to Boston and this was what my library offered. Fun to hear some of the gossipy tidbits. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I honestly didn‘t know much about Busy Phillips other than she was on Cougartown and recently had a talk show but thought I‘d give this book a try. I‘d definitely recommend the audiobook as she reads it and of course did a great job. Just know the first half or so is about her childhood and some bad stuff she went through. It meanders a bit, but it was a fun, fast read.
Well, why is everyone just resigned to being miserable for the rest of their lives? No decision is permanent! The world may end tomirrow..., so may as well be happy right?
Id just assumed that was what marriage was: two people being midly miserable next to one another.
😂😂
...you can have all the money and success in the world, but when you're a fucking asshole, you're a fucking asshole and that's all there is to it.
Hollywood is the fucking most disgusting, most vile place on earth.
No one is going to tell you all the thinga you want to hear all the time. You have to know them yourself.
The South is hauntrd like that, though. Theres weird energy flying around.
She [Michele Williams] had books everywhere in her apartment. Stacks of them, against each wall. She was never not reading at least three at a time.
(I love her!)
Well, I have a theory. There are certain people who are what I call sparkly humans. These are people who have things just happen for them or to them because other people see them and seemingly inexplicably wnat to help them.
And the story doesnt exist without this ending.
I couldnt change what haf happened. Or how it happened. All I could control was how I decided I felt about it and him.
That is literally my worst nightmare-- to be judged by Oprah.
(Me too girl!)
First line: Once, a (former) guy friend of mine, who happens to be gorgeous and famous and all of the things, said this to me: "You know, I think people would consider you really beautiful , if only you didnt talk so much....
Last night, I had a dream that Busy Philipps interviewed @Meaw_catlady & I was super jealous/proud. I‘m not saying I should lay off social media before bed but...maybe I should lay off social media before bed? 🤷♀️😅
I loves this face paced quick read! I read it in her voice too. This book read almost like her diary in the earlier parts of her life but enjoyed getting to know her and felt like she was super relatable. It was funny, raw, real and snarky just like her.
This is what happens when you buy a book as a gift but need 45$ for free shipping. 😅 Bookoutlet you've done it again! Only problem is deciding where to start.. between these and my entire TBR bookshelf I already have. You can never have too many books right? 📚😍
Getting in some me time before chores
What a great listen! Such raw and real emotion when she read her book. I've always liked her but it was great learning more about her life and all the things she's gone through. My favorite part was when she talked about 'sparkly people'. Love it so much! This world needs more sparkly people 🥰 #audiobook #love
Went to see Busy Philipps in conversation with Adam Scott for the paperback release of her book and got to take a pic with Adam Scott. I‘ve had a crush on him FOREVER so I‘m pretty sure this means we‘re dating now, right?
Quick and fun listen. She was honest about her experience in Hollywood.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, completely well written ,touching, funny and now I will totally be following her on I Instagram!!
Starting this audiobook this morning with my coffee
I was charmed by Busy on her talk show. Now I‘m in ❤️. You have to listen to the audio. You will laugh and cry when she does. I‘m sad this one is almost over :(
Yay for Spring Break and for reading! I am a fan of Busy Philipps, but I enjoyed this even more than I thought I would. As a 90s preteen/teen, I appreciated her own coming of age stories from that period. Even though hers include being ON Dawson‘s Creek, not watching it 😜
Listen as an audio book. I'm a huge fan of hers already so not surprised I enjoyed it. She is very raw and honest. Includes some juicy celeb stories. (Audio)
Out with the old, in with the new! Excited for this one
