This one just wasn‘t for me. I couldn‘t connect to any of the characters except Tara. I wish the story focused more on her and her experience. The story just became repetitive and dragged. But it was interesting enough for me to finish so that‘s always a good thing.

Tara Beckley ends up trapped in a coma after an accident at Hammel College in Maine. Someone wants her dead. But why? This is a fast-paced, clever thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. Michael Koryta is a masterful writer. I have read 4 of his other books and have enjoyed them all. This one is my pick for #LMPBC #Round11 #GroupW and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

3.5 stars. I suppose I was underwhelmed by the final reveal. It was a decent paced thriller and would make an intriguing movie. Thought the characters were well-developed. Idk what it is but something is preventing me from giving it a “Pick” rating.

A college student is involved in an accident that may not of been an accident and now she is in danger. To make matters worse she is unable to move or communicate because she is "locked in syndrome". Her only hope is her feisty older sister and a washed up insurance investigator to put the pieces together and save her before its too late. ? more

This one too me a little while to get through, as I couldn‘t get involved really in the middle 🙄🤔. . Between a pick and a so-so for me, but I decided on a pick since I do enjoy his writing. This one left me still with some questions though and I‘m not sure how I feel about that. 😆 #bfc
