Is this 1 of the most underrated series or wht? It was so good. I loved the characters, the story, the pacing. Everything!! It does have flaws but they r too trivial to mar the brilliance of this book. I have many questions, questions I hope the rest of the books in the series will answer. The ending was a little anti climactic for me. But I am reading the next book in the series right away.

Oh my god!!!! After a long time I am loving & enjoying a book so much... This book is slowly pulling me out of my terrible reading slump. I am just 24% in so that's not much content to judge the book but a good start is always a promise of a good book. Can't wait to finish this & see if I love this book as much as the beginning. Any non spoilery comments on this 1?

rrkreads 70% in & I don't want to stop... This book is sooo good... Hope the ending is as good too🤞🤞🤞 4y

I completely lost track of this but I have a few more to go so let's get to it!

I got the first book as an earc on #netgalley and instantly fell in love. Everything about this series is just incredible!

I don't have the final book yet because I'm waiting on the paperback to release but it was such a great (maybe a bit frustrating) conclusion.

Highly, highly recommend

Intriguing opening line.
Also a YA Fantasy that is about Japanese mythology 😯😍

I liked this cute Japanese-inspired YA fantasy. It was a little formulaic with a sweet naive heroine, a brooding grumpy samurai, and a sarcastic sidekick but it was good clean fun and I enjoyed the world that Julie Kagawa created.

This is the second time I have tried to read this author's books, but her female main characters are so often whinny helpless victims. This may be something for younger romantic readers, but I'm definitely not the target audience for this.

Been listening to the audiobooks for these. Well I just started rereading SOTS. But final book in trilogy should be out by the end of March. And I can‘t wait to get to read it finally. First time listening to them through audiobooks too

I really enjoyed this book, it‘s SO nice to have a fantasy based in Japanese folklore that isn‘t super sexist and explores the emotional life of male and female characters. I immediately bought the 2nd book and am excited to read it. A half kitsune raised by monks must protect part of an ancient scroll that summons a dragon kami. She brings together an adventure group and they must fight evil sorcerers and humans questing for a hidden temple.

I Picked this book up on a whim. It wasn't a bad read, overall. It had its moments. I wish the characters weren't so typed, and the villain dialogue wasn't so stereotypical. Fans of #japanesefolklore or #anime like #inuyasha will likely love this one! #japan #japanesemythology #kitsune

#adventrecommends. Day 1. Sorry if I talk about this book too much but I love it. As an anime lover I love all the Japanese mythology and folklore and can‘t wait for the final book in March.

monica_laurette I love this book too! I‘m a big fan of all types of mythology and foxes so it was awesome for me! 5y

5/5 🌟
It's filled with Japanese culture and legends.
The adventure the characters goes on is interesting and packed with dangerous obstacles.
I like all the characters and I think they were an interesting team. I like how Yumeko made friends easily but on the other side, Tatsumi was struggling with his feelings. They both came from different backgrounds and they weren't raise the same way.
Also this is a slow burning romance.

Good morning Litsies. 👋🏻🏡🌞

I had a very busy morning with my dogs. Only now, I have the time to eat breakfast.

I am currently reading Shadow of the Fox. So far it's interesting. I am also reading on the side, Warbreaker. Brandon Sanderson is the first writer who's writing captivated me since the first sentence. Words are like magic coming from him.

Have a good day y'all. 🌍

Got a chance to glance through this book a couple of months ago. Decided to go with the audio version to enjoy proper pronunciation. So glad I did! Wonderfully written, I throughly enjoyed it.
The story centres on Yumeko, a young half kitsune woman, entrusted with a sacred mission. Kage Tatsumi, a mysterious young samurai comes to her defence when she is attacked by demons. Together they journey to discover the location of a sacred temple.

NOPE. I won‘t go on about why I‘m bailing, suffice it to say that June is not the month for me to give any listening/reading time to formulaic heteromance. Bad enough that “straight pride” allegedly has a parade permit for Labor Day weekend in Boston (no I don‘t think it‘ll happen, but it‘s getting loads of media coverage): I don‘t need patriarchal BS with simpering girls and perfect men in my ears.

BookInMyHands Have you read this one? It sounds like what you might be looking for: 6y
kgriffith @BookInMyHands I own it but haven‘t read it yet — I didn‘t love the audio sample and know I‘ll read it much faster than I‘d listen to it! 6y

This book has got me hooked. I‘m am listening to it as an audio book and it makes me want to go to the gym to listen to what happens next. The perspective changes to follow multiple characters through their journey. It‘s awesome!!!!
