🎧 - I am obsessed with this one! It was so good to listen to on audio (headphones must be worn at all times and prepare to blush) and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. It was one of those romances where it just makes your chest ache. There was a moment at the end which kind of shook me, but besides that, I loved the story, the characters, all of it. So well done. 💕
Haha, anyone else use their Boppy pillow like this once they were done breastfeeding, or just me.... ? 😂
Overall, I liked my first Lisa Kleypas novel and am looking forward to devouring her Wallflowers series! She is very descriptive when it comes to clothing and furniture — I appreciated the historical research, which seems pretty rare in #historicalromance, and it really helped the scenes come alive in my mind even when it was a tad too much detail. I also love a bookish, strong-willed heroine!
I could have done without the raspberry scene. 😳
I got sucked into an enticing, total impulse read from bookstagram last night. I don‘t read much romance so I checked Overdrive to see if it was available. Moments later, I was enjoying the period piece story of a spinster author who mistakenly assumes her new publisher, whom she hadn‘t met yet, was the male escort she hired for her 30th birthday to finally deflower her. Fun set up- but the scenes where he makes his moves in his own library?!?👌🏻
Finished listening to the audiobook this morning ( love Hoopla) Amanda is turning thirty and wants to have sex for the first time . When Jack turns up unannounced she mistakes him for the man she has hired to do the job. Of course he‘s not. A satisfying historical #romanstsy with lots of 🔥.
I didn‘t recognize ‘Suddenly You‘ from its red, satiny cover, or the story itself from the back teaser, but after reading the 1st line, I knew I had read it before. That didn‘t stop me from reading it again!
It‘s a Regency Romance featuring a spinster who decides to hire a “cicisbeo”on her 30th b-day. It‘s starts out on a humorous note & there are light touches, but there are darker moments too.
Laughter + Tears + Sex + HEA = Pick

Sorry, don't know how to post general stuff without tagging a book yet lol.
#marchintoreading Day 18 Romance was my go to for covers with #thebacksofwomen on them.
I keep trying to read romances and finding that they just aren't that satisfying. This one started out strong but didn't hold my interest. And I basically hated the ending.
Are there good romances out there? I'll keep trying. I like the idea of them.
I've read the sample, definitely on the TBR pile.
