Been Binging RuPaul (mostly, but I have other shows that I am watching with the hubby: Better Call Saul and American Dad), I have been playing with my little piggies (French Bulldogs - pictured is one of my little monsters, Conor), my mother has a pool/hot tub so we have been going over to make sure she is eating well and well spending time outside enjoying the sun. Drinking tons of coffee!

ElizaMarie @Reecaspieces Thank you! he is a little monster but I love him :) 5y
TheKidUpstairs RuPaul is amazing distraction binging! Have you watched any All Stars seasons? Things get crazy... 5y
ElizaMarie @TheKidUpstairs I‘m finishing up season 6 right now (or 5 not sure) but it‘s the last season available on Hulu. So after that it‘s Allstars time!!! 5y

@TheKidUpstairs @Mtroiano #IsolationInteraction

My distractions: 1) observing nature. I'm not a good mom right now because we observed a spider building a web on the porch. Drew pictures too. 2) videoing myself reading children's books and doing simple experiments. I'm not as good as Josh Gad though. 3) knitting and crafting. 4) Listening to my girls fight. It's entertainment.

Who feels the need to distract themselves from the anxiety-inducing 24 hour news cycle? For today's #IsolationInteraction recommend a non-reading distraction. Either comment here or create your own post (don't forget to tag me!). Let's build up our lists!

For me:
. Playing Nintendo Switch
. Listening to Marlon and Jake Read Dead People https://player.fm/series/marlon-and-jake-read-dead-people
. Binge watching Elementary and Schitt's Creek

AmyG Ha...I just posted yesterday that I organize my books, catalog my books...do book stuff with my shelves. Also I listen to music alot now to get myself off news watching. (edited) 5y
Scochrane26 I love Marlon & Jake! Coloring is a good way to reduce anxiety. 5y

zezeki For me, it's colouring. Also, I have one 3 in 1 Lego set and I've been rebuilding it lately. 😅 5y
Desha Play with fountain pens! 🖋 and travelers notebooks, journaling, making lists, writing to pen pals, work on my Hobonichi planner! ♥️ 5y
LeahBergen We just started a Broadchurch binge last night. 👍🏼 5y
Mtroiano Oooh @LeahBergen Broadchurch is good! 5y
AmyK1 Going for a walk, doing yoga, discussing the D&D campaign we‘re doing this weekend, watching Gilmore Girls. 5y
youneverarrived Watch TV, listen to music, do some yoga, journal. 5y
julesG We played board games and cards. 5y
Cupcake12 Walking my cocker spaniel, pinching my children‘s colouring books and having a go myself and watching teenage programmes that I‘m far too old for e.g Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars😂My girls and I love listening g to music and having a mad silly dance in the kitchen for 5 minutes! 🎵 5y
riversong153 Elementary! Love it! I don‘t have anything to add besides what‘s been added here. Oh wait, baking...bake some bread or sweets or something! 5y
NeedsMoreBooks Cooking, organization projects, and Netflix. 5y
cleoh Colouring books for me too! Right now my work is doing a pretty good job of distracting me, so I‘m happy for that! 5y
katy4peas The Good Place is another great binge!

We love Schitt's Creek! Trying to spread it out a little bit to last a bit longer!

Laughterhp I‘ve been Audiopuzzling a lot. Also, playing my game boy, walking and running have really helped. I‘m also trying to read books that will suck me in like mysteries and fantasies. And basically all I want to watch is The Office and Family Guy. And I think this weekend I‘ll try reorganizing cabinets and doing some spring cleaning! 5y
mcipher Walks and self help podcasts - The Life Coach School has been my savior. And cooking/baking. I‘ve been taking pictures of all my healthy at home meals, too, which is fun. Lots of yoga and conscious breathing. I was doing silly balance poses in the living room during work yesterday 😆 5y
TheKidUpstairs @AmyG what music are you listening to? 5y
TheKidUpstairs @Scochrane26 yes! We've been doing lots of arts and crafts. Today was making God's Eyes, which was very relaxing! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @zezeki my oldest LOVES Lego. It's a fun project to do with him. Those 3 in 1 sets are great! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @Desha I have a slight notebook and pen buying problem... 5y
TheKidUpstairs @LeahBergen LOVED Broadchurch! Enjoy@ 5y
TheKidUpstairs @AmyK1 I'm not a D&D player myself, but I feel like that would be a great distraction! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @youneverarrived what are you watching/ listening to these days? 5y
TheKidUpstairs @julesG we're playing lots of board games, too. Makes for nice family time. 5y
TheKidUpstairs @Cupcake12 how old are your girls? We love a good crazy dance party, too! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @riversong153 oh yeah, so far this week we've made cookies and banana bread. I think tomorrow will be muffins! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @cleoh what do you do for work? 5y
TheKidUpstairs @NeedsMoreBooks I love cooking too, and my boys are really getting into helping in the kitchen. What are you watching on Netflix these days? 5y
TheKidUpstairs @katy4peas I love The Good Place! So forking good! 5y
cleoh I‘m on the Information Management team at the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority! It‘s a co-op placement as part of my Master of Library and Info Science degree, so I‘m learning how to write a lot of policy and provide people with the info they need when they need it! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @Laughterhp I keep thinking I should start some spring cleaning, but then I remember I have three kids 😂😂😂 5y
TheKidUpstairs @mcipher daily walks have been a big help for me, too! 5y
Desha @TheKidUpstairs lol...I feel your pain....😂 5y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I did a little cleaning!! My mind is spinning and it‘s hard to concentrate on reading right now 😩 5y
Sharpeipup Exercise. Just did a 60 minute walk. 5y
audraelizabeth I cross stitch, build a puzzle or diamond painting 5y
CarolynM The newspaper's daily crosswords and other puzzles. Also, I'm going to write some letters.🙂 5y
CarolynM @LeahBergen Are you watching the UK or US version of Broadchurch? 5y
TheKidUpstairs @CarolynM there was a US version? 5y
LeahBergen @CarolynM The UK version. I didn‘t know there was a US one, either! 5y
LeahBergen @Mtroiano I‘m really enjoying it!! 5y
AmyG @TheKidUpstairs I‘ve been listening to indie music. Today was the new Real Estate album. 5y
CarolynM @LeahBergen @TheKidUpstairs There was but it had a different name (I forgot that when I asked the question). I tried watching it but only lasted about 5 minutes. David Tennant is much less attractive with an American accent😂 5y
Cupcake12 @TheKidUpstairs My girls are 10 and 13. From tomorrow all UK schools close at 3pm. Home Schooling begins 🏫 5y
TheKidUpstairs @cleoh are the border restrictions making your work extra busy? 5y
TheKidUpstairs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I'm finding the same thing. Good thing my library loans are extended, so I can take longer with the books! (Gotta look for silver linings where I can find them) 5y
TheKidUpstairs @audraelizabeth my oldest is loving cross stitching. It's a great mindfulness activity for him! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @AmyG nice. I've been finding comfort in favourites. Lots of Tragically Hip, My Morning Jacket, The Jezebels, and The Civil Wars. And we had a fake tap dancing party to Tilly and the Wall the other day! 5y
TheKidUpstairs @Cupcake12 our schools closed a week ago. My kids are younger (the boys are 6 and 4, and I've got a 5 month old girl), so i take comfort that the closures won't really affect their schooling much. So we're doing some "school" activities, I'm truing too focus more on fun and play. 5y
Cupcake12 @TheKidUpstairs Ive brought English and Maths books but the rest we‘ll do fun games, baking, Yoga, Zumba and much more! 5y
cleoh @TheKidUpstairs they aren‘t affecting my unit so much, but we‘ve been working on solutions for the units that have to travel back and forth for meetings 5y
audraelizabeth Thats awesome. I have patterns from magazines. 5y
Smrloomis Little late to the party but we have watched all of “You” on Netflix. Didn‘t think I would like it but I ❤️ it so, so much. Schools have been closed here for two weeks already and so we are having a lot of “dance parties” in our living room 😂 5y
