pickWasn't sure about this at first, so much fighting. But the super hero high schoolers grew on me. I'm intrigued by the references to previous (maybe parallel?) starforces as well as the other club revealed further into the volume. The hair is aces😍 #mommyreads #comics #booksandcoffee

pickI loved this so much! The magic girl storylines are an easy in for me, and this was a fantastic riff on the idea. The characters were wonderful and the Lily + Savi arc= ❤❤❤ I'm very much looking forward to reading the next part of the series! Also, I really want to read more of the scrapped idea of them as rockstars solving crimes.
so-soThis reminds me an awful lot of Sailor Moon. Four girls chosen as warriors of Astra fight monsters using the powers of their zodiac signs. I loved the diversity in this in regards to race, body type and sexual preference and the art style is beautiful. However, I kept feeling like I was missing something. This is the first volume yet it reads like a second volume. Left me very confused and I was sure I was missing out on important info.
And onto the next read for #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon
pickThis was so much fun. Like a new Sailor Moon! I love the diverse cast and that it there are LGBTQ+ characters. Magical girl gangs saving the world forever!

so-soWhile the artwork is fun and I'll essentially read anything having to do with the zodiac, sooooo many things happened on such a short amount of time. Which is also a common problem I have with single issues. Plus, I desperately wanted more background on the cast and their abilities. Still undecided about continuing once the next volume is out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 stars)

panI was looking forward to this, but it was pretty bad. It's slow, doesn't explain enough about the story or characters, has atrocious dialogue, and wants to be "Sailor Moon" really really badly. The only thing it has going for it is the beautiful artwork. Flip through the pages if you come across this one, but don't bother to read it.
so-soI feel like I should absolutely love this, but the stakes were raised so high so quickly I had a little trouble connecting.

pickSlow start for me, then ultimately hardcore vibing with the Sailor Moon Easter eggs and romantic side plots. I want more!
pickFavorite magical girl squad since Sailor Moon. Monsters, magic, mayhem, lady friendship, a complicated villain, diversity, a smidge of romance and all the moon/star iconography your heart can take. Not to mention all the cute!
pickThis book was bonkers but in a good way. If you go into it knowing that it's not an origin story and commit to picking up the pieces of their past as you go along, then it's a rollicking good time. Friendship, bravery, loyalty, and love. Much love!💖💖💖
